If you buy accessories separately: steamer 100/-, idli rack 200/-, and the 1.5l same size kettle 600W (many imported brands offer it with egg boiler and steel stand and warranty) costing 700-800: total cost may not exceed 1100/-. It is all th same, Chinese products hardly last for 2-3 years.

This is almost a modified version of electric kettle for water to make tea coffee. But I would suggest Prestige should make the stainless steel vessel totally separate. The heater base be separate. Idly stand knob should be round flat knob that fit into the next plate bottom. If it is not sitting firm then with batter weight it will slide one side. If power failure then the vessel could be placed over a gas stove easily to continue cooking.
While cleaning the vessel, every possibility that water may spill over the switch knob,if it is kept along with base may avoid this
