Dude I went to Comic Con exactly one time and literally my favorite part of the entire day was walking up to the gate to get in. On the way over there, this THING walked past me and I just turned my head and STARED as this EIGHT FOOT TALL GROOT slowly walked past me like fuckin Treebeard from LOTR. Idk how in the hell whoever it was even made that costume or where they even were inside it but it was the most surreal experience I've ever had. I straight-up thought a real life fucking ENT was just strolling past me on the sidewalk.
I really enjoyed the SPN conventions I’ve gone to. You know when people say, “Have you ever met or seen someone famous?” And they will say they saw an actor or an athlete at the airport, or a restaurant? Conventions are a place where you can PICK your favourite celebrity and KNOW you are going to meet them. SPN ones are better than most, because all the actors, especially Jared and Jensen, are so funny. And so patient with hearing the same questions over and over. You can also see what good friends they are in person, with the way they interact with each other. I’m not one of those who dresses up, I have gone alone at times, but I’ve also made friends at the cons and it IS amazing to be surrounded by people who love what you love. I have a very non-nerdy family, whose eyes glaze over when I excitedly want to go into detail about every SPN or Doctor Who episode, but the people at the cons are right there in the deep end with me! Love it! And lastly, (again not me, I don’t drink) yes, for a large portion of the attendees, they DO spend a lot of time dressing up and getting drunk! 😜😝
This episode aired the night before I went to my first Supernatural convention. It was the perfect thing to hype me up. Rob Benedict (Chuck) was there as a guest for his first convention too!
This episode was such a nice little nod to the SPN fans and the conventions that had already been going on for a while at this point. You’ve gotta watch the SPN conventions once you’re done with the series! They’re absolutely hilarious and so fun! I wish I could go to one of the conventions! Great video as always Jer! Can’t wait for the next! ☺️💕🙌🏼

Oh, as a German, that guy screaming "Gott im Himmel" was so funny. It means "God in the heavens". I guess in English you would say "help me, god" or something like that. I watched supernatural in German and don't remember if they did that line in a different language there as well and I'm probably gonna forget to look it up. Anyway, first mention of Crowley, I'm very excited for the next episodes
I hope you get to a SPN con at some point- they are a lot of fun. I think at this point, the show is doing a great job of advancing the story, even in Monster of the Week episodes.
When Chuck emailed Becky, in the first episode this season, she told him she was his #1 fan, "samlicker81". That's why she licked her hand & blew it to Sam, like a kiss. Becky, poor Becky. LOL!

I went as Nathan Drake to my first convention.. i just kinda climbed everything and acted like it was breaking everytime and fall a lot. Character accurate lol

This one played out better than I was expecting, I enjoyed it. I have only attended one SPN convention, but watched so many videos from them it is crazy. I think they are very special and important to the success and longevity of the show and they have really helped a lot of people in their personal lives. It was very hard for me to see the insade amount of $$ people spend on them tho.
well now I have a question that's not supernatural related... when you said someone dressed up as Davy Jones... did you mean the Davy Jones from the 60s band, The Monkeys? hence, a floral polyester shirt and colored bell bottoms? .. or a generic pirate? There is a sliver of fandom that can't stand this episode because of Becky and the way fandom is portrayed by her.
