@@jcn115 yes, she was beautiful and energetic at that time because she was younger, she is still beautiful but a different kind of beauty now mature from a 30 year old lady, she is not as energetic as before because she herself mentioned in several interviews that simply can't feel more comfortable wearing certain types of clothes on stage, or shaking her head and attitudes like that ... she no longer has that youthful and energetic beauty of 19 years old anyway ... time passes for all of us and unfortunately or happily we age !!!

Somerville filled in for Simone Simons on part of a North American tour maybe seven or eight years ago now when Simons had a serious illness. Somerville is pretty damn talented and has done a fair amount of music over the years. She is actually married to Sander Gommans who founded After Forever, the band that Mark Jansen left to form Sahara Dust which was later renamed to Epica.
She was taking pop and jazz lessons when she was 14. At this time, she was singing Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson etc. I don't know any Dutch, but I also watched the making of The Phantom Agony. She was talking about Mariah Carey in this video, too.
