my mom used to sing me to sleep with this song when i was a kid, and just hearing it makes me burst into tears. ill be doing it for a music festival this year, and im so excited and i hope i do her justice 💕
Listening to this choir, I would never guess that it s high school choir. The voices are so much more mature, the diction perfect (the composer is a fellow Nova Scotian), the sound very polished, and timing is spot on. Congratulations to all singers and their choir conductor. You have made Allister MacGillivray proud!
Learning this in choir for solo and ensembles in a all women’s choir. 2 soprano 1’s (me), 2 soprano 2’s, 2 alto 1’s, and 2 alto 2’s. This is my Junior year in high school and I’m in love with this song.
A job very well done by both the choir and the director! Breath support and diction is spot on. The tone is gorgeous with good balance between parts. You don't sound like a high school choir! Thank you for sharing.
Such a lovely sound and attention to phrasing. The only problem is the wrong note in m.52 soprano line. If you are listening to learn the music, just be aware of that note (c# instead of the E in the music).
We are studying it in music class and thought it was a beautiful piece. So I decided I would learn it. I am in high school and we do not sound nearly as good!
I'll be singing this with my all men's choir and it's so beautiful

We sang this in high school-haven’t heard it in years. This is a beautiful performance ❤
We sang this in my highschool choir. My sister and I have both sung our kids to sleep with it. It is magic. ❤️

A lot of the other UA-cam versions do this really fast. I liked the way this one was done!
