He has more elected time in the Senate then Senator Clinton. He got legislation passed to have police interegations video taped. He insured that veterans of war did not have to pay for meals while hospitalized due to war injuries. I find his policies very specific. Perhaps because I took some time to visit his Senate website and read "Audacity of Hope".

this was nice that is nice of him to have some normal americans eating with him he is soo down to earth and charismatic. i can really tell that he cares. there is an honesty that comes from him when he speaks.

You couldn't sit and eat like that with any other candidate - that's something to really think about! This man can build a lot of bridges. Obama is a true American - he's for the people. I'm sure with him in office, things will get a lot better.

Ron Paul supporters do not realize that the GOP will never nominate an isolationist libertarian, nor would it necessarily be desirable to have a libertarian president. It's not my cup of tea. Barack represents to me a thoughtful, optimistic, and idealistic candidate, precisely what we need after the darkness and mudslinging of the last several decades.

I hope Barack does this same type of thing right here on UA-cam. Meaning that he will open up a way for everyone to submit video questions to his UA-cam channel and then he can respond to a couple each week (more if he can manage). I love how the Senator is willing to engage regular people in open dialog, I would love it even more if he made a habit out of it.

This is awesome that the dinner was videotapped.

What's the upside of that? It's not like more than 10% of Americans even know what the green line is or why 1967 is important. Regretfully this won't happen.

The Ron Paul supporters are so - arrogant, yeah, that's it. Dismissed.
The video rocks. Let's make a brilliant candidate the only choice at the Democratic Convention, Obamans! Take to the streets and stores with your 'Bama buttons and stickers, register Democrats so they can take part in the primaries. Remind everyone who's moved to update their voter registration. Be inspired, look for this on UA-cam (no links allowed here) Barack Obama: Obama Santa Cruz "Drive-By" Event

Inspirational! They should put that in cards. "Here's your chance. Nobody's perfect, but he's likely the best chance you'll get for a regular guy who gives a shit - as your husband." They'd sell like hotcakes.

Sorta took the words right out of my mouth.
How about an Obama/Richardson ticket, eh?

    Well, here's the real situation.
Technically, we are the only reason things are "held together" over there. Think of it this way:
Do you like a cop when he pulls you over? Most people would say no to that question.
Then, do you want all the cops to just leave? Most people would say no to that, as well.
Yes. They don't like the fact we're there, but they don't want us to leave. Because they know what will happen.
    Another Rwanda.

Can someone please tell me, why Obama thinks pulling the troops out right away would be dangerous? I know a lot of people say this. But I'm unsure why that is? I just heard him say something about this in the video.

Somebody that understands other countries in charge. I prefer politicos who don't know anything about the countries they are involved with.

I used to like Obama but the more I get to know him the more I grown inconfident about his lack of experience. His speeches can be very moving but that's it. It does not have depth meaning his policies are somewhat vague and nonspecific.
