my local grocery store had some Donruss blasters, bought 3, got my first Downtown ever, Peyton Manning, I am having a great day. Seemed like it would only be something everyone else got.
niceee man i just opened a prestige blaster and it kinda sucked
man, donruss was my first rip getting into the hobby back in 2021. i just went for it and got a blaster box. hit a downtown clyde edwards helaire rookie card. i was excited when i saw it but had no clue until after how big of a deal it was hitting it. Ended up selling it for over 100$ a bit later. not a big fan of the player but still a sweet pull!
Megas come with an optic preview in each pack, 6 total, in addition to the auto and possible numbered card. Absolutely better value than blasters if you can find them.
Love the video and got me buying 100%. Bought Prestige football blaster and pulled some sick stuff. Keep up the good content
Was able to snag one of the megas by pure luck. Put on the “notify me when it’s back in stock” and less than 10 min later, I got the notification. Wasn’t sure how many there were so I really quickly added one to my cart and checked out as fast as I could and my order went through! I have a massive retail collection so I’m definitely gonna add it to that but gonna grab some blasters to open if I can find them in stores
I have opened 12 blasters have not pulled a Cj yet also no short prints
This is my favorite this year.. got my first downtown Zay Flowers rookie card from one of these blasters

I’d take any downtown tbh. I’ve bought so many boxes. I always get nothing but I did get a Anthony Richardson rated rookie was about the best I’ve ever gotten

Just now getting into NFL cards with my 8 year, I've enjoyed binge watching your videos to get an idea of the different lines differ. What do you do with all those cards that you don't want to keep, do people buy all those base cards? How close to breaking even do you think you would be from what you pulled from those 4 boxes?

Some hobby shops will buy a box of base cards ..mine gives me store credit for a full white box .
Think the mega boxes are the way to go with 1 auto if you can find them before the scalpers get to them seen them going for tripple the price hate it
The Megas seem like a good value this year. Blasters...excellent kindling for those cold winter days. Yea I'll open a few but I'll do it under duress...

You KNOW I lean toward megas, esp with guaranteed ink, but surprisingly I've seen some decent hits in these.
I've seen maybe 2-3 dozen people open them so far and have seen 2 autos decent ones too & 3 Downtowns (Hurts, Stroud & Young).
Soooo, tgere are big hits in these, but the odds I hit one- slim to none.
Ive NEVER hit any special case hits & Ive collected off/on since like 82'/93' 😂
So, thats why when people say tgey gave bad luck I usually scoff & think- you have NO clue what bad luck is. 😅😅😅

I am interested at this Donruss 2023 product (also 2022) (base cards) and it´s difficult to find them in Spain where the NFL hobby is just starting. I understand the price being inflated for the DT chase but what’s funny to me is that megas guarantee an auto so hypothetically you could get 5 megas (5 autos) for the same price as a hobby that has 1 auto. Thanks for sharing this rip with us!!
megas dont guarantee auto .. its says " per box on average" meaning they have loaded up tons of mega boxes panini points which replace the auto .. seen a few people get shafted on autos with mega openings so far, when they put on average that's how they get away with leaving autos out of some boxes. id rather hunt a downtowns in blasters for 25.00
100%, megas are the way to go with the product especially with the optic previews
SKY B opened a full case he got 2 Crunch Times and a Downtown. So the Downtowns are maybe 1 in 20? Hopefully the Megas are loaded.
They are not sadly. Hobby case hit guarantee, but not for retail. Saw a full case of blasters opened and no DT.

I ripped a ton of 2022 Donruss and eventually hit a downtown, but it was absolutely not worth buying that much just to hit the one. This year, just going to try a few blasters and be done.

I've noticed that the print runs of football 🏈 retail cards have been going up this year. Telltale sign of a high print run is it being hard to pull numbered cards autos or case hits.
Not if you buy singles

Technically, there is a Packer on the Downtown checklist but it’s one of the International Downtowns; Aaron Rodgers still in his Packers uni. Whether those can be pulled from retail, that idk.
I believe those are hobby exclusives

These are big passes for me, the Megas are decent with an auto in each one and a chance at downtown. Otherwise just buy the DT you want specifically and save money 😅
folks pulling tons of downtowns from blasters, autos of other rookies arent worth price of megas. however i think megas have blue scope rookies so its a toss up, seen cj stroud down town and bryce young down town pulled from blasters

Just want to pick your brain. What are your thoughts on panini not having the license anymore? What kind of effect will that have on panini football cards?
Panini was ruled in favor by the court during their arbitration for them to retain the rights through 2025 so they can still make licensed cards for the time being. However i am absolutely done with panini at this point and there needs for be change in the hobby. I am hoping fanatics will learn from paninis mistakes but a monopoly is never good for an industry like this

Panini creates a different checklist every year for downtowns that one is jordan loves rookie downtown from 2020

@@AcmePacks the local card shop is $44.99 $20.00 per hobby pack and $10.00 for retail fat packs smfh They ruin the hobby. They also only buy newer cards and they've gotta have serial numbers or autographs. So far out of like 8 blasters of this "product of the year" and probably 6 hobby packs and ,15 fat packs that I bought, they bought ZERO cards from me, out of them.
