Yeah I mean, do you 1. have the funds required to go to Japan for a reasonable amount of time just to play this game 2. Have the funds & connections required to buy one of these cabinets and get it shipped 3. Have the funds to get a k-shoot mania controller 4. Be extremely lucky and live near an arcade that is owned by somebody who is willing and able to meet #2. This is pretty much as good as it gets for anybody outside of Japan
This looks really fucking hard, but awesomely fun, I wish they had the machines for that here in Canada but as far as I'm aware, SOUND VOLTEX II is a Japan-only game.
Kokaiintonic Yeah, so is the rhythm gaming community, I don't really go on forums much but I'm part of at least the ITG/OpenITG/Stepmania community, I'm quite a good player, and I've be looking out there for other rhythm games to try, but sadly SDVX II isn't even available here so, damn :c
How would one get better at something like this seeing as though that I've been playing rhythm games for years and I don't think I've ever been good enough to be at a level like this
+dinopwn17 I live in BC (Canada) and I live about 15 minuets away from an arcade. I've been bugging the shit out of them to get some 'good' games in like Taiko or SDVX but they wont. Oh well, guess we'll just keep getting modern gun peripheral games *sigh*
+Violet Fox (ChMorto1) Thanks for the info but... If you look at my channel you can see you are a bit late :) And damm, already been a year since I posted this comment?..
I must say one thing. This game is freaking fun and amazing and the way you play that just amazes me. That must have taken years of practice with such a good hand eye coordinate skill. I've played hard games but not like this!
It doesn't take that long really. It takes 2 weeks for me to clear my first EXH level and 4 months to reach the level of the video (not perfect score but mostly perfect beat. It looks hard here but it will be easy once you know the fundamental play style.
Undine Eclipso I've actually never played, so glad to know that if I want to get into this game, that it won't take long to play the fun difficulties :D
Undine Eclipso I only play Jubeat, Reflec Beat, DDR, and Future Tom Tom. I have never played IIDX before so this kind of experience is totally new for me.
Man, that looks hard and incredibly fun at the same time...
It's not that hard once you get used to it, it just takes a lot of practice. But it is very fun
Lmao replying in 2021

You know u are a true professional when you play so quietly like this
Ah... The good old days
Me breaking my hand, ah sweet memories
If you broke your hand you were doing it wrong
My old days is listening to my old songs
I love how most people commenting are just people who haven't even played SDVX and just are looking in awe
Yeah I mean, do you

@@Brain-washed2 The controller is not that expensive
@@Brain-washed2 me when i walk into an american arcade and this machine is the cheapest in the whole place for the most games per credits
bro his hands look so calm lmao mine would be very tense and i would be slapping the buttons
This looks really fucking hard, but awesomely fun, I wish they had the machines for that here in Canada but as far as I'm aware, SOUND VOLTEX II is a Japan-only game.
welcome to my world...US here, wanting to play this game fucking badly
It's a shame that arcade culture is basically dead in the west. Especially in regard to rhythm games.
yep...sad truth yet there's amazing games like this that nobody but a small select group of people know about T_T
Living in Canada also. Not surprised that I wasn't the only one feeling this way!

This isn't difficult, but good score
Looking at their hands it doesn't looks so hard. Looking at the screen you realise how insanely hard it is. I would love to try this thing

Why can't we have these awsome games in Canada? T_T
Learning japanese and planning on going to japan someday because of everything they have.
because there is no market in canada.
heck, finding an arcade in canada is hard enough already
+dinopwn17 I live in BC (Canada) and I live about 15 minuets away from an arcade. I've been bugging the shit out of them to get some 'good' games in like Taiko or SDVX but they wont. Oh well, guess we'll just keep getting modern gun peripheral games *sigh*
+Violet Fox (ChMorto1), It's reasonably playable on keyboard as well in case someone doesn't really have spare $200, but it's slightly more complex..

I played one before the sdvx 4 dyscontrolled galaxy
I wish to find one of those one day but I don't think I may find one in my country

Actually, Sound Voltex has only been out for 1.5 years, also, this is one of the easier Bemani games.
It doesn't take that long really. It takes 2 weeks for me to clear my first EXH level and 4 months to reach the level of the video (not perfect score but mostly perfect beat. It looks hard here but it will be easy once you know the fundamental play style.
But how much experience do you have with Bemani games?
I mean, if you've played IIDX for a year or so this should be a cakewalk!
Undine Eclipso I've actually never played, so glad to know that if I want to get into this game, that it won't take long to play the fun difficulties :D

I could probably do this. Because I would go into a trance upon seeing it and become semi-conscious for days until I inevitably master it.

Oh my god, seriously, do NOT do that to the knobs. You'll ruin them for everyone. PLEASE grip and turn.
I broke my non-arcade knobs like this after 7 years of use. I'm sure the arcade knobs are fine.
