Thanks for the explanation..you have covered most of the topics and I would like to add some additional info here, it might be helpful to viewers
1) Laura got discontinued by the end of 2013
2) regarding diesel, both 1.9tdi(PD) and 2.0 Tdi CR are good but that top notch performance will be high in 2.0 when compared to 1.9 , may be due to CR , engine will be more refined. You can feel the push when you accelerate.
3) company service cost is 15k to 17k( recently serviced my friends car), if you cut short few things in package like fender cleaning and few others, you can reduce 1 or 2k less and service interval is 15000kms which is quite high when compared to other brands
4) clutch worn out may be depends on the driving style i hope, my friends car is running with stock clutch for 1.5L kms( 2.0 TDI CR) and it is still in good condition.

Regarding service cost (general oil service) the cost is 15 to 17k but the company service is totally fraud. They often fool their customers by replacing the good spares with faulty ones so that every time after the car is delivered after service, some problem or other arises. So this is the reason why maintenance cost is higher. When I started to give my Laura to outside workshop the maintenance cost has come down. Škoda India has failed miserably in finding a good (honest) dealer at least in Tamil Nadu. Otherwise Laura is such a nice car in all aspects (safety, power, drivability, mileage etc..).

I bought recently used Skoda Laura 2.0 CR TDI single owner well maintained car. I recently serviced at Authorised skoda service centre, service cost is 15k. Vera level performance and excellent driveability... Spare parts price high but quality of parts is very very excellent.

Laura Automatic came with DQ250 and its very reliable. The superb that came with DQ200 with 7 speed DSG they had dry clutch and that created problems.
