- J.S. Bach, Toccata & Fuge in d-moll, Hammond B3 Organ jazz improv by Barbara Dennerlein.
This is part of an 18 minute duet with a pipe organist in a Munich church. Eleven year ago I uploaded a 2:50 sample clip, this version contains all of Barbara's improvisations. The duet with the classical pipe organist in not included because I was not able to contact the him and get his permission to use his image.

Everytime I see Ms. Dennerlein play her Hammond, I am amazed by her talent and technique. Thank you for posting her performance videos. Marvelous. Brava!

Ich weiß nicht, ob es nur mir und meinem Vater so geht, aber uns kommen beiden die Tränen, wenn wir solch grandiose Kunst und wunderschöne Musik hören.
In dem speziellen Fall sind es die Harmonien, die uns zu Tränen rühren. Und Gänsehaut bis zur Schmerzgrenze.

What a great team - Johann Sebastian, Barbara and the B3! Fantastic! The sound comes over a bit muddy - I guess due to the reverberation of the venue. Wonder whether putting the mikes closer to the Leslie or whatever amp she used would have improved that. Still pure delight.
Her Hammond B3 sounds so beautiful, what a rich soulful tone, it is surreal! It sounds better than any other B3 I have heard! The video seems to be filmed in Black & White? B3 looks so rustic.

Barbara trat in einer Kirche mit einem klassischen Kirchenorganisten auf. Wir haben nicht seine Erlaubnis, also wollen wir nicht das gesamte Filmmaterial verwenden. Schade, es ist wirklich gut!
