Kota is known as education hub across India but now it has one more reason for foot fall and that's Chambal Riverfront so in this vlog I'm going to show you east bank of it.
As the name says itself Chambal Riverfront is on the banks of Chambal river, one of prominent rivers of Rajasthan. 6 kms of the Chambal Riverfront have been redeveloped recently to promote tourism in Kota. This riverfront has two banks known as east bank and west bank. Both banks are three kilometers long respectively.
In this vlog I decided to explore Chambal Riverfront's east bank so I reached at Nayapura side's entry gate on east bank. For entry ticket I paid Rs. 200 and it was valid for both sides of Chambal Riverfront. But remember you can get ticket only by online payment as no cash accepted here at ticket counter.
If you don't have much time or can't walk for 6 kilometers then you can explore Chambal Riverfront by 45 minute tour of E-cart. I like to walk a lot so I started to explore it on foot. East bank starts from Nayapura Ghat and ends at Chambal Ghat where you can see huge statue of Goddess Chambal. This is the place where Chambal Mata aarti performed daily in the evening.
After Nayapura ghat I reached at Singh Ghat where many lions sculptures can be seen facing West bank of Chambal river. Then i saw various ghats such as Utsav Ghat, Sahitya Ghat, Jantar Mantar, Hadoti Ghat, Vishwa Maitri Ghat, Jantar Mantar Ghat and Fawwara ghat etc.
At Vishwa Maitri Ghat you can replicas of some famous buildings of the world. Though every ghat of Chambal Riverfront is good for photography and selfies. There are also food options at both banks of Chambal Riverfront.
For better experience visit it in the evening as 4:00 pm time slot can give you hard time due to heat. Rest is fine as it's a good place for perfect evening for both solo or with family and friends.
