1:52 technically asgore can't keep track of them. He just knows that you can come back to life due to the previous humans but can't tell when you do i believe.
Yes, he only know how many times you died because you tell him.
Technically Sans also doesn't track them because he just reads your face expressions

@@Hana_Koneko666 sans never tracked them to begin with. he specifically says things like "that facial expression... it's the face of someone who's died 2 times." he doesn't know how many times you've died, he's just very good at guessing.
to be fair, he also seems to know if you died or not during pacifist during the "date" with him
shayy trying their best to answer the wrong right answer at every opportunity is very fitting
2:15 poorly worded question. Should have been “This happens when you KILL undyne during a neutral route.” I knew the answer to the question instantly, but it took me a while to figure out the question. You can spare in a neutral run. A few others were also questionably worded, but overall you did a good job.
Yeah, several things can happen with Undyne in a Neutral route (which is simply not doing [True] Pacifist or Genocide):
- You fight and kill Undyne, where her determination causes her to slowly melt. [This may be done during a "No Mercy" playthrough where you're killing everything in front of you, but not grinding the kill counter for Genocide]
- You flee and don't hydrate her, causing her to die from heat stroke.
- You do hydrate Undyne, which is ultimately how you spare her and progress through Pacifist (though future events can be done violently).
- You beat her as Undyne the Undying during Genocide mode (which the game goes into after clearing out Ruins and continues as you keep clearing out each area's kill count), but abandon Genocide at a later point. [Technically still Neutral ending].
- You can also date Undyne technically in a Neutral End, as the final events to unlock True Pacifist is the Alphys date then True Lab. Not doing those is still Neutral route if you were to go to Asgore.

I was under the assumption that asgore doesn't know you're being dead serious when you tell him how many times he's killed you; so he takes it as a metaphor for the past fallen humans who were all killed under his orders, and THAT'S why he nods
I believe the question was supposed to be "which character can know how many times you died" because Sans also doesn't track your deaths, he just reads your face expressions

18:30 Assuming this is referring to tracks which exclusively use samples from Earthbound, there are actually 4 tracks, Barrier uses the Giygas breathing sound. While not on the soundtrack, the snore symphony in the Snowed Inn is also entirely Earthbound, as it uses the Buzz Buzz sample. The ambient water sound is also from Earthbound. Notable as well are Run! and Confession, which are made entirely from Mother 3 samples. Some other tracks that feature samples entirely from one source are Dogsong (Mario Paint) and Oh! One True Love (Final Fantasy VI)

This literally had me smiling and chuckling quietly to myself for the entire duration of the video. And I know people often say this as an exaggeration but I am 100% serious. My jaw kinda hurts after watching this and I only stopped smiling when I got an Olive Garden ad. Underswap has always confused me since like, if you're changing the personalities what's the point besides just having new art of designs you like? Which is neat but like - same personality different role is more interesting to me. Toriel and Asgore swapped but still they act the same way besides the one difference of their opinion on the human souls issue? That's interesting.
So basically TS!Underswap, which is a fangame, or Inverted Fate, which is a web comic

I think the appeal is actually "Oh look here's a character you know and love but they now have the role of this other character", At least that's how i feel personally when it comes to swap role AUs
I get having to change personalities though, it's hard to imagine (and write) characters being themselves in a swap role situation without having it feel out of character

The original Underswap was an art AU. Drawing new art was the whole point. It did not have a plot, or any other content besides art, because it was just an excuse to draw the characters differently.
A lot of AUs get started as art AUs, and many of them never progress beyond that stage.

Like that they say horrortale is a minor au, but it’s prob one of the most popular au’s today. Not as popular as like swap or fell is but I would say it’s just right below with like dusttale, dreamtale, ink and error sans, killer sans, underlust, sci sans, geno and reaper, core frisk and other such au’s/ au characters.
I didn’t know what horror tale was. Only heard the name from I think maybe PJ’s Daycare

Over the summer, my friends and I had an assignment to make a short film, so we made Jeopardy played by undertale characters, sans and papyrus (with mettaton hosting of course) my friend sending me this and remembering our short film was awesome! ty for this great video and keep up the awesome content.
