You spend days and days locked in a tank with each other doing combat maneuvers you learn to love everyone in there with you like true brothers. That’s probably the only thing I miss about the army.
The sub-machinegun they give to the poor clerk-typist is an American M-3. It shoots the .45 ACP round, and it was a replacement weapon for the Thompson sub-machinegun. American main battle tanks (M4 Shermans) were inferior in tank-on-tank engagements to German tanks, specifically Tiger I’s (as depicted in the movie). A common analogy used by historians was that each Tiger was worth 4 Shermans, so the Americans produced 5. Fun fact, in that scene where Norman was forced to execute the German soldier, even if Norman and Wardaddy didn't want to, it is quite legally by the Geneva convention regarding war crimes - permissible act to execute that soldier for one simple premise - when captured, that Soldier was caught wearing your uniform (or part of it) The Rule of war does not applies to captured soldiers if they are spies, saboteurs, or enemies disguised under your uniform (willingly or partially), and often time this will immediately gets you a summary execution by firing squad upon capture - like for example during the 1944's Battle of the Bulge, where Skorzeny's commando troop disguised themselves as American Military Police infiltrating the American lines to spread false direction and information - when many of the German commando was captured, the American MP arresting them just executed them on-site by Firing squad.

Great reaction gentlemen, I'm new to your channel. I like what you do, I like that you guys don't always agree 100% on shit, and you make your case for it, you don't pretend to agree.
I don't know if you've heard of the fat electrician but he is my favorite UA-camr he does military History. He did a video on the true story of this movie. War daddy was a real dude his guys had different nicknames but they were all there.. you guys should check it out I think you would like it. He's down for people doing reaction videos too his shit too.. ✌🏻
The movie is definitely a 10 of 10

Insane movie. Would love to see the movie 1917 some time as well. You guys would enjoy it.
Thats a real one !!!!
Fun fact, in that scene where Norman was forced to execute the German soldier, even if Norman and Wardaddy didn't want to, it is quite legally by the Geneva convention regarding war crimes - permissible act to execute that soldier for one simple premise - when captured, that Soldier was caught wearing your uniform (or part of it)
The Rule of war does not applies to captured soldiers if they are spies, saboteurs, or enemies disguised under your uniform (willingly or partially), and often time this will immediately gets you a summary execution by firing squad upon capture - like for example during the 1944's Battle of the Bulge, where Skorzeny's commando troop disguised themselves as American Military Police infiltrating the American lines to spread false direction and information - when many of the German commando was captured, the American MP arresting them just executed them on-site by Firing squad.
