My mum wrote to Jordan F1 years ago (around the year 2000) and she asked about whether they offered racing scholarships (for me). They sent her a really nice letter back and unfortunately they didn’t offer scholarships. lol It was nice of them to reply though. As a proud Irish man I loved it when Jordan was in F1, the team was a breath of fresh air in the corporate world of F1 in the 90’s/2000’s. I thinks it brought back some of the spirit of the privateer teams from the 50’s and 60’s
Well, the fact that jordan of all teams replied with that nice letter politely informing they didn’t do scholarships… it mustve been true when eddie said few podcasts earlier that jordan of all teams recieved the most fan letters every day. And judging from the itv bits of jordan and the marketing crew, that was bravo job done from them
Wow, Timo's input really explains a lot about what is happening to Alpine right now and with Jaguar/Toyota back then. It really shows up that no matter how much resources you have, you are going to lose if you misuse them, but also stay still and don't take risks. And it's surprisingly not surprising that huge brands still don't get how F1 works.
This has only just showed up a bit late, I watched the race live and anyone who watched without a tin foiled hat could see the struggle Timo had to keep the car from destructing thanks to the wet stuff.
You have to remember Audi built LMP1 cars for 17 years. Cars more complex then F1. BmW didnt have that. If anybody can succeed outside of the UK, its Audi.
Thank you so much for this quite recent but top1 podcast. Everytime a delight! The growl becomes legendary. Life's serious enough. There must be room for a bit fun with forever young Eddie Jordan.
By the way I met Eddie Jordan in '94 at a Hockenheim restaurant together with Gary Anderson wearing a Mickey Mouse t-shirt. You can also be a strong business man and still going through life with a sort of an eye wink. Should be a model for many CEO's.. ;).
To get young drivers in, why not have each team run 3 cars with the third car reserved for a driver with less than 3 years experience? Reduce the number of teams down to 7 or 8. And when one team produces a car significantly faster, there are 3 drivers in the same car so more racing going on.
On board footage demonstrates that Glock did a astonishing job keeping the Toyota on track that famous Brazil showdown and almost nobody gives credit for that and instead he had to deal with conspiracy theories
The incident gave us a preview of the DTS era. I always loved how F1 fans could have their favourite drivers/teams but could stay objective and enjoy a good race. Now everyone is #TeamMax or #TeamLewis, and every racing incident is attempted murder.
With all the woke presenters pretending to know what they are talking about on F1 it is refreshing to have a pair plus guests who know it all and constantly amaze us all with their revelations. Best vid/podcast series by far! Millionaires parading for the penniless pleps

Your mum seems like a legend! Sorry your scholarship didn't work out.

Really enjoying the podcast chaps. A fascinating insights and great banter. Keep up the excellent work
The Brazilian people are so interesting the way they support Lewis now after the events of 2008. They understand racing and sport.

If he was a better driver then massa would rightfully be the 08 champion rather than the great pretender.
Get rid of the growl , maybe at the end of the podcast/video but definitely not at all beginning, as usual brilliant Gent's.
It wouldn't be the same without the growl!
I like the EJ growl
It's just a 2 sec sound. It's not that serious
KEEP THE GROWL
We need the growl
Dude is a terrible driver and a cheater, it's a shame that he still gets any chances
rich "people"
this guy is a goof.

David, love what you’re doing with this but please can you and EJ talk less so your guest can talk more 👍🏻

4:14 DC what a joke that was 🤣🤣🤣
Get Ron Dennis on please. Just watched the BBC Hard Talk with him but the interviewer was horrendous
Eddie is the cherry on top ! he was and is and will always be.....
Hate the growl.

Couldn't agree more, all this crap about massa is ridiculous ferrari and his poor driving lost him that title 😂

What so all the crashes and the mistakes the team made had nothing ta do with it.. rubbish 😆😆😆
@@GlenB-qo7wd Doesn't matter what they did good or bad. Fact of the matter is a team cheated.
A charismatic Irishman with a fantastic growl. What’s not to like. A great series - keep it up Gents!
I remember seeing Eddie drinking pints of Guinness in the bar into Chicago when we had the first Formula One race at Indianapolis in 2000
Keep the growl
Keep the Growls happening
Keep the Growl. Love it. Thank you from Sal in West Sussex .

I used to work for an aero company and made scale wheels for Jordan. BE YERSELF Eddie 😄👍
Need an Eddie growl but using the mgm lion imagery. Eddie breaking through the screen at me would be a helluva way to start the broadcast. 😅😂
The growl must stay!!! It's a signature growl!
The carbon footprint is utter bollocks. Another tax that has no reality in science.
I’m in the receiving business I’m not in the giving business ……. Well that’s not something you want to declare in prison ! 😂
I see the podcast because of both guys but EJ is cracking bars .. legend
Keep the bloody growl. For fuck's sake.

appart from the growl, it's awesome as always.
Does anyone know when/why the growl started?
Remember it clearly, crazy race it was.
It is insane that there isn't a German GP.
