Will uk customers be able to buy them and other vertex hardware
@@rileyioacura yes, Thomann, Andertons, Haar Guitars and Parts all have them available for pre order
@@VertexEffectsInc thank you!!
I love the double cut out. I use wah and volume.. so that's perfect! And the magnets are a great feature. I love these boards! Great work Vertex!
Glad you like them!
That bolt hole pattern is for hard mounting a Cioks. Plus the kick stand is 100% necessary for the cut out versions
From the horses mouth!
Ah! Mason look! Salutations from Lancaster! @fix pedalboards you do great work man.
@Fix Pedalboards Which Cioks Power Supply is designed for the Tour Compact Plus 20 x 11?
Mason, these are genius! I was about to redo my pedalboard over the holidays anyway, so now I’ll be ordering one of these from Sweetwater asap 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Be sure to get your preorder in ASAP :)
@@VertexEffectsInc How do we preorder? The link your description doesn't lead to MKII boards. There isn't anything on your website, there isn't anything on Patreon... Was hoping Patreons would get first dibs. You keep mentioning that we should contact a Sweetwater dealer.. what's that? Sweetwater is a website.
Well thought out Mason! Great job.
Glad you think so!
Sweet! Diggin the new interfaces. I might be looking at that Tour Compact soon!
Right on! Maybe we can work out something in exchange for a review on your channel! Keep up the good work Michael!
Do it. You know you want to.😈
Awesome Mason! Love your Vertex Boost ll. Simply the best!👍🏼🎸😊
Thanks a ton!
Awesome stuff!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
These look awesome!
Glad you like them! One heading Studio Rat's HQ soon :)
These are really well thought out boards. Kudos.
Thanks Mitchel!
well, this would definitely be an upgrade from my homemade board made out of a 8x24in maple slab that I got from Home Depot.
If you need our pedalboards they'll always be here :)
Cheers from Texas!

VRTX sweet!
Thanks for showing...

Rock on!

The travel light looks like a great option!
It really is!
Wow... I told you these would be well received... Super nice job.
Yes! Thank you!
These look great Mason! Well done!
Glad you like them!
i love your content so much, greetings from germany!
Thank you very much!
You the man, Mason. Great stuff.
I appreciate that!
I don’t see purchase options for the buffer module on vertex, therigdr, or sweetwater. Are you not making these? If not, is the buffer cutout sized to fit the DIY buffer interface with the Hammond enclosure (featured in one of your other videos)? I have all of the parts for your DIY buffer on-hand and ready for assembly. 😁
They are coming soon and we have a custom shop version available from www.therigdr.com for now.
I'm assuming you buy the interface separately? I couldn't find it on your homepage
Yes, you can order at Sweetwater: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/VBuffMod--vertex-effects-pedalboard-mounted-buffer-module
Not gona lie these things are pretty dope
🙏🙏🙏
This looks awesome. I already emailed Sweetwater.
Hope you like it!
Hi, I would like to know if a Jam Pedals Wahcko fits in a Travel Lite with the cut. Thank you.
Just barely, yes.
Aside from cost why wouldn’t you use a Powercon for the power module?
BTW great work on the new pedal boards.
No, typically any locking jack isn't desirable in most applications on a pedalboard...it's pretty much guaranteed a break if it does take a hit where an IEC will just release. You'll loose power but won't break the jack or the plug.
Love your product and video.
I do have one question, what are my options in regards to a hard case or bag case for your largest board.
Did you ever figure it out? The website doesn't sell the boards but when you're on the Vertex website looking at the board you want, it has recommended cases for each size. In the Description section, there's links in the 'Compatible Cases' field.
@@jeffjeezy7170 I didn't know that, thank you.
When will it be available in Europe and which retailer?
Haar Guitar and Parts, Thomann, and others
@@VertexEffectsInc Is there already a release date?
Hey Mason, is it possible to put a tour compact riser on a tour elite flatboard? Cheers
ah nice stuff, i think all bigger pedalboards should have a step design like this because it's extremely awkward to reach the pedals in the rear rows on flat boards.
I built 2 boards pretty similar to these myself from wood because here in the EU i couldn't find any step design pedalboards (except Schmidt Array but these are ridiculously expensive)
Our pedalboards will be available at Haar Guitar and Parts and Thomann for sure!
@@VertexEffectsInc ah great, i will check them out when Thomann have them in stock! I mean my wooden board works great but looks quite crude, this will certainly offer a more professional appearance
Sweet!
Thanks!
Why wouldn’t you have these on your website when you released the video? Sweetwater and your website of the old boards from what I can tell.
This is just a teaser video...they just arrived (first articles), you can preorder on Sweetwater's website.
I forgot, are the MKII risers compatible with MK1 boards? Thanks!
Yes, on all except the Travel Lite.
Yess
Heck yea!
Mason, How does the GigRig G3 compare to the RJM PBC 10? Thank you. I'm going to have you build a Tour Elite board for me. Thank you!
There are features that I like about both. I prefer the buffer in the RJM. Also, the software is much more developed for live applications and to set up set lists, RJM has always been the leader in that field, especially when it comes to live performance.
@@VertexEffectsInc Thank you. I placed a call a few days ago and spoke to Jacob. He said he would look at my present board and have Vince call me. I'm leaning towards the RJM PBC 10.
Can I still get the bottom platform long and the riser small ? So I can put my volume pedal on the side I need help
You can see about finding an MKI version or doing a custom order.
FINALLY!! I am sooo disappointed I missed this but I was picking up a 60’s Tele from my luthierThe last piece of the project! I can finally break out the blue painters tape and tape off the quarter acre of base I’m going to need! Well done M2! Way to go Lancaster!! Oh such shameless promotion! I @#&*$@ing love it! Geez Mason I’ll actually be able to get my 3 H9’s on the big puppy! Yes the Mini Effects Gizmo could also go under the lid. That would make for some challenging cabling but hey The Dr has taught me The Way!
BTW “Talking” with Ron Minelli the other day on RJM forums and he suggested using a loop of the 6X or 10 for a MEGX, which is pedal order-able…think about it…Genius!! His sweetheart wife Sheri found me a B Stock PBC10 to add to my collection of RJM products (should be here tomorrow) Oh dammit Mason I love that Tour Compact with a single cut out for my Aero 25SP….Does Sweetwater have all of these yet? I only saw two and what about buffer and power modules? I need to send you a design I worked up for an IEC power panel…maybe my kid will auto as it for me to send to you. We’ll see…So much to do…so much FUN 🤩!!
Nice! Hope you dig the pedalboards :)
@@VertexEffectsInc Dammit Mason, you need to answer the questions about buffer and power modules availability and when you expect Sweetwater to have these. Yes I'll give Brenton a call and have him lasso a Tour Compact for me but as of now they aren't even on their listings they only have the original boards and no MK II's based on your link.
Aw man, I just bought a Pedaltrain but this is exactly what I needed…. Hopefully Christmas will come early this year!
Fingers crossed 🤞
These look great but where can I buy the new boards and the different top racks with space for a wah cut and such? Where can I buy the input and output that bolts onto the side same for the power that bolts onto the side. I don’t see them anywhere.
You can pre-order with Sweetwater.
Love the new designs but are the original risers still available through you or fix?
It's our product, Fix Pedalboards is the manufacturer. You'd have to buy it from us or one of our dealers.
How soon can I directly buy one? When do they go live? I know you can pre-order, but when would it go live? I skimmed through the video, sorry if I missed that specific moment
You can preorder now at sweetwater
@@VertexEffectsInc The landing page for the Sweetwater link is for the MKI boards and not the MKII preorder
@@tacdoc8736 it was intended to allow you to contact your Sweetwater Sales Engineer ;)
How does one carry that big daddy around after you get it out of the case?
They're pretty light, all aircraft aluminum.
Killer!
Thanks efsglass!
Awesome! Any chance mounting that interface on your mkI boards?
Not without drilling holes into it.
Will these new features be added to the Fix Pedalboards custom risers for people who need a different size than your standard sizes?
No, Fix will be doing their own thing which won't cross-over what the Vertex pedalboards are doing.
Are you selling the buffer interfaces yet? I can find them anywhere. Also, do they come with the board as an option? Or do I have to buy it separately?
They're a few months behind everything else but will always be a separate add on, so if you're considering buying a pedalboard it won't be as if you'd be at any advantage to buy the buffer installed already into the board. It's going to be a self installed module no matter what - three Phillips head screws, that's it.
Shoot, if I literally just bought a pedalboard this week from you directly, will it be an MK2?
Spencer it won't, but the MKII boards will also be about 30% more expensive than MKI. You can email us if you want to cancel the order if it hasn't already shipped to you.
What are the dimensions of the TE-3 riser - ie how much width before/after the cutout?
Hey Jeff: TE3: 29" (W) x 9" (L) x 3.5" (H) with 10" cut out for any two treadle style pedals (wah, volume, or expression pedals). Hope this helps!
@@VertexEffectsInc Hey THANKS for the quick reply - it does help - but more specifically I'm wondering where the 10" cutout starts within the 29" width... so i know how much room I have to the left (and the right) of the cutout. Thanks again these all look awesome. :)
Yo this looks awesome! I've been looking to cop a new board and this is probably the one! But question: do you use strips of velcro to secure the pedals to the board? Or is there another method?
Not just straight up velcro- it's dual lock or one other thing I forgot the name of.. He has a bunch of videos where he talks about dual lock and all the stuff he uses to mount pedals and cables and such to boards. Just watch some of the other videos- he goes into detail and also puts links in the descriptions so you can get the exact stuff you need.
I recommend our Power Grip Velcro or 3M Dual Lock. Sweetwater sells our Power Grip and our "Pedalboard Essentials Kits" which has all the mounting hardware you'll need. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PGV10--vertex-effects-pgv-10-powergrip-pedal-fastener
What if i want my volume on the left side?
You can special order a riser with a left footed cut out.
Did you say the loop in the interface is TRS to accommodate 7 cm?
You can do:
Mono
Stereo
4CM
5CM
Wet/Dry
Wet/Dry/Wet
All in the same box. The send is a TRS thru if you wanted to use it as a Footswitch thru or a passive input with no input buffer.
@@VertexEffectsInc very cool. I use a Kemper and stereo fx loop. Even with all the great onboard effects, I still love my pedal collection.
?What in your experience prompted you to choose the interval from 20” to 26”?
Number of treadle style pedals and or switchers used and the case sizes that still meet the ATA standards and regulations to be under 50 lbs checked baggage.
May I know what is the total height of the pedal board when you use a 2nd level ? Cause I’m checking if I can use the Pedaltrain or Rockboard Hardcase for it. I’m not really a fan of Pelican case.
Im checking to set up my board using your board but using a PT or Rockboard Hardcase
Pedalboard height is 3.5” plus hour pedal height (whatever it may be). We have case recommendations for every type of case from SKB, Pelican, Gator, and more.
Any idea of the price points??
They're about 30% more than the MKI's...mostly because the cost of metal rose so much over the last 6 months. Even the MKI's if we still made them would have a big price increase.
Can I place a Strymon Ojai on top of a Zuma in the lower tier? Does the height fit?
Yes...see our rig builds you can see ways that we place them...our most recent build for Wendy Melvoin does this combo.
@@VertexEffectsInc Yes, I watched it right now. Very sympathetic and adoreable Woman.
Her Board is a MKI, right?
One question in this regard, because I see different pics of the Travel Plus MK1. One is WITH a center stand, the other WITHOUT. Which one is correct? Does the upper level (of MK1) have a prop in the middle? Or is the stand removable?
hardly possible to get an MK2. (unlike M1)
thanks!
Nice! Maybe I missed it, but what are the options for the left-footed among us?
You can special order a left footed cutout
@@VertexEffectsInc okay thanks
👍👍👍
Just got off the phone with Sweetwater working on a preorder for a Travel Light model. Can the magnets be temporarily removed?
Thanks!
You can unscrew them, but why?
@@VertexEffectsInc Just though it may be easier while putting the board together and experimenting. The magnets look really strong and I’d want to put them back when finished. Looking forward to getting one - Thanks for demo video.
@@BoomerBass523 throw some velcro there or something non-metal to weaken it.
Hey Rig Doctor! I have a question for ya: Which 3M dual lock model should I use to get a max clearance between the pedal and the board? I don't have any space for the cables between my Stryfecta and Iridium, I want to route cables under them and I don't want to buy pedal risers. Also I'm not sure I can attach pedal risers to temple board Trio 28.
I recommend our Power Grip Velcro: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PGV10--vertex-effects-pgv-10-powergrip-pedal-fastener but if you want to use Dual Lock use the 3M SJ3550 paired with SJ3551. If you get our Power Grip you don't need to combine densities like you do on Dual Lock for the best "lock".
How would you put a full size wah pedal in that, cutout? 2/3 of the pedal hangs off the edge. Nobody would do that. It doesn't fit there at all so why would one put a huge wah pedal there? Makes klno sense. 🤷
A full size wah, volume, or EXP can fit in our Travel Plus (20 x 11), Tour Compact (26 x 14), and Tour Elite (29 x 15) pedalboards with series "2" or "3" risers as shown here. The only board configuration with a cut out that won't work with a full size wah, volume, or expression is the Travel Lite because most full size volume pedals are 11". Most Wah's also are around that as well. I'm not sure how where you're seeing that they won't fit.
are your module ports compatible with rockboard mods?
No
Can you order custom size risers?
Perhaps after we're caught up on the initial orders
Where can we buy those pedalboards in Europe?
Preorder with Haar Guitars and Parts or Thomann
What are the three holes on the top tier for?
Ah, CS-6..Nevermind.
Yes!!!
Does the power module have an on/off switch ?
No, it's just like power strip basically.
I really think you ate a practical genius, Mason. And were the same age. You must be German LOL.
Ha! I guess I need to take one of those 23 and Me test ;)
How does that switcher compare to the Boss es-8?
Musicomlab and RJM are superior.
@@VertexEffectsInc Does Sweetwater carry them?
@@TYB439 RJM or Muiscom...no
People complained about the lack of branding? Hmm, okay.
Most of the branding will be covered if you find it off-putting.
The g3 atom would be too deep for the travel light
It'll clear, our riser is 3.5" high so it slides under a bit of the riser but doesn't obstruct any of the screen.
Vertex Effects ah spot on! Was only guesstimating! It’s after midnight here and I was only trying to convert imperial to metric and obviously getting measurements a bit off 🤦♂️ ! Doesn’t matter to much as I don’t have an atom anyhow ! Do have an es5 that I reckon would like right at home on the travel light 😀
@@billytremoloband7456 all good :)
I bought the Elite 2 weeks ago thinking it was going to be the magnetic MKII as referenced in a prior video but I got screws ed
You can either 1) return it or 2) get the bridge only and retrofit to your MKI board. Let us know how we can assist.
@@VertexEffectsInc Thank you Mason
@@GlassyD sure thing!
Dear Santa....
He's making a list...
If singing as well as playing the narrower the better with pedal boards (just my 2 cents)….!
Our sizes are determined by 1) the cases 2) carry on ability and 3) ability to meet checked baggage weight requirements.
Vertex Effects all sounds like a great way to calculate sizing! Will they be shipping to this side of the Atlantic?
@@billytremoloband7456 Yes, Thomann, Haar, and Andertons will all have them. They're en route now and can be preordered.
bootleg brand. I think there's more better pedal board brands quality like rock board by Warwick.
What's it a bootleg of? They seem like pretty different boards Warwick vs. Vertex. There is no tiered system or hinged riser system on Warwick - the modules are also all passive, no buffers, no signal conditioning, no isolation.
@@VertexEffectsInc Ignore the morons and keep up the great work Mason!!!
@@mikekennedy5785 👍👍👍
Pedalboards themselves are one of the bigger rip offs in pedal gear. Much like cables, they don't take nearly as much to make as they cost to buy. That's why I'll likely never buy one. $250 for that is insane. There's no way it costs anything close to that to put a couple of bends, a few holes, and black paint or powder coat on a piece of sheet metal or 2.
Tell me how to make it for less and I will. Making things in the USA and paying a fair living wage comes at a cost. Add your recurring costs like, insurance, payroll taxes, lease/rent, marketing, advertising, etc. When people say things like this it's clear to me they've never worked in manufacturing as it's such a misrepresentation of the entire picture.
@@VertexEffectsInc Not to mention the tools, maintenance for the tools, engineering fees, etc...Heck, I'm willing to bet just buying the tools to cut to size and make the bends are highly expensive.
