Doesn't hurt in telling him knowing they don't eant the same player or even position, but issue becomes trust that GM doesn't reach out to the next team he knows is likely targeting the same player to hedge them against each other for the best deal.
If you tell a team you want a TE and they want a OT, they might 2nd guess themselves & take that TE just to stop you. Everyone's opponents at the end of the day.
Funny thing is cowboys favored Iowa’s tight end leporta . So buffalo wasted capital moving up for a player they wanted all while being to worried about who the cowboys might pick
Dallas wasn't taking a TE at 26 you wasted draft assets to get a guy that wasn't going ahead of you I'm glad you're at least happy with the player but cowboys played you boys and everyone else

Dallas never denied they were taking him, and the entire front office had a round table discussion over which player they should take after we drafted him. Dallas was absolutely taking him but even if they weren’t, I’d rather Beane trade a 4th round pick to get a guy like this than risk a team linked to him all off-season taking him one pick before us. That’s what good GMs do. And you have no clue what Dallas was gonna do so idk why you’re presenting an opinion as fact. From Cowboys’ own sports outlet ⬇️
@@sarahchristine2345 They never denied about taking a TE but it wasn’t going to be Kincaid. Bryan Broddaus who’s a former Cowboys executive and a radio host for our local radio station even said that LaPorta was their number 1 ranked TE on the board. Tweets from Jane Slater reported the same thing. So even if Kincaid was on the board, they wasn’t taking him.
