Hi All Saints Parish and Fr Holowell,
By way of encouragement
After 50 years I have recently been drawn back to the church of my youth.
In 40 mins I have my first reconciliation meeting with my local priest and I want to thank you for this timely reminder of one of the many but most important reason for doing so.
Welcome home!
As I see it, incarnate God, Jesus Christ, creator of Heavan and earth is the source of everything. Everything we have is a part of God. We are all mere dust, if even that, if it were not for His infinite love, mercy, and grace. He mercifully shares everything of Himself with us (he was crucified) out of love for us. The Eucharist therefore is the blessing and obediently acknowledging with gratitude that love in the flesh.
Faithful souls live eternally in heaven by consuming the Lamb or Bread or Son or Logos or Word of God eternally. He is the Lamb slain at the foundation of the world. The Son has Life in him given by the Father to give to souls faithful to him. The Holy Spirit is that Life. The Son gives up or sacrifices the Life given him for souls faithful and grateful (eucharist) to him.
I disagree that it is the bishops plan. It is the Holy Spirit of God that is the reason.
Thanks for your comment.
2 Corinthians 13:5
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”
Let’s look at this from scripture, for a saved Christian Jesus lives in you all the time because you are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Ephesians 1:13, Ephesians 4:30
if Catholics believe in transubstantiation, than why does Jesus leave to return every Sunday when you receive him again?
Jesus also said I speak to you spiritually, believe in me.
Peter did not performed “Transubstantiation” according to scripture.
Out of respect just something to think about, according to scripture.
Read the first half of John 6 to see how Jesus comes to us in the Eucharist at Mass every day, including Sundays - the Miracle of the Multiplication.
Which passages of Scripture do you interpret literally? Which passages of Scripture do you interpret metaphorically? How do you know that your interpretation of 2 Corinthians 13:5 is correct?
LIES. These are all lies. There is no God!
Why man live on earth? 4:52 😊
