Oh my goodness. I love afternoon tea. Many people here in the US do not appreciate an afternoon tea, but I love the experience. Princess has afternoon tea in the dining room, but I also like it delivered to my stateroom, so I can enjoy it on the balcony (weather permitting!!!). I have never sailed any line except Princess, but I may have to try P&O Britannia just to have the afternoon tea! Thank you for another great video.
We just booked a 3 day trip on Britannia in August, can't wait! Our 2 Golden Retrievers also know the signs of upcoming holidays and hide, they are so clever at picking up on small signs!
@@CruiseShowUK Goldens are the best! Have a look at our Instagram 'dogdads_uk' for some pics of them :-). This will our first time on a P&O Cruise, so really looking forward to it....
Ha ha, so true about Lipton. I'm glad I'm not the only who takes teabags to a cruise. We were booked on P&O in November , not Britannia but Aurora, to see the Northern Lights. Alas, they have cancelled it. We'll have to wait another year.... Hey ho. However, I'll be on the RC Anthem of the Seas in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to be out of the house for a few days and not needing to cook and wash up Bliss!
Sorry to hear your cruise got cancelled. I’m positive you will have better luck next year. Wow! You will have a good time on the Anthem… I’ve been on her sister ship, Quantum of the Seas. I loved it and would sail again in a heart beat. The solarium is lovely, plus you have many activities should you choose to do any! Thanks for watching and best wishes for your upcoming cruise! David
Yorkshire Tea best in the World 😀 Going on Britannia in September, loved Sindhu on Azura, looking forward to eating in there again. Enjoy P&O as it’s just really for us Brits.
@John,have you tried the Yorkshire tea with biscuit? As a diabetic myself it’s such a yummy treat. The toast and jam one less so. Edited to add, totally agree, Yorkshire tea *is* the best.
Hi... You can add one more thing with the Passport... It's, six months validity... Thank you so much for the lovely, informative video. I am going with my friends on 8th August ... So excited...
Hi Kalpana! Thanks for the comments. Yes you are right about having at least 6 months on the passport. Can you believe a couple arrived without passports this weekend. They had a long drive home to get them!! Luckily they made it back in time. If you are going on a cruise ship ALWAYS TAKE YOUR PASSPORTS!!! Have a great time on the 8th. If you haven’t been on Britannia before, ask for a map at reception, it helps. Also try eating in the Glass House if you can, it’s really nice. The shows were also very good… especially the clockwork circus! See ya! David
@@CruiseShowUK... True... In excitement people make silly mistakes... David... Thanks very much for map tip. I was thinking about it. Yes, going first time on " Britannia"... And will try Glass House... Love different shows. Love to perform as well... BTW, are you there on Cruise on 8th August ? I am so excited... Watched many videos on Britannia and Cruise...
Hi Isobel, actually, the only line to check our insurance document has so far been MSC. Could you email the insurance and just ask them to confirm you have cover for COVID. Then at least you have that email, just in case. David
Do it at home! Why would you carry your luggage and separate labels with you, then dick about at the port attatching them before you board? Just do it at home 😵💫🤦♀️
Great video - a question about the travel insurance. is UK travel insurance enough for a staycation cruise? Doesn't the cruise sometimes venture into European waters to chase the sun? Would you still be covered if this happens? Thanks and Happy Cruising 😀
Hi Victoria. Yes it is, if it covers cruise. If you check the description of this video there is a link to my recommendation for UK staycation cruises insurance cover. 👍
I’ll be on Britannia in a week with my stuffed canine daughter, Lucy, from Twitter. Thanks for your guided tour. I’m studying the deck plan now or will get lost in such a big fat ship.
Hi , thanks for the lovely video really helpful. Myself and daughter booked on Britannia for a short cruise in August, but I was under the impression, we would also have to get our own COVID test done as well, are you or anyone else able to confirm whether we have too or not. Thanks
Hi Laura! You won’t need to arrange your own test. But your daughter may. All guests aged 17 years and under will need to have completed their vaccination course a minimum of 14 days prior to sailing OR will require a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to travel. Hope that helps?
@@CruiseShowUK Thank you for the response, it’s good to have clarification that we don’t have to do our own test, one less thing to have to worry about. My daughter is also fine as she has had her 2 vaccines as well.

Did P&O check your travel insurance that it said COVID on it? The one I’ve booked covers COVID but it isn’t on the policy certificate

Very informative .. do we need affix the luggage label at home or at the time of boarding ?
Hi and thanks for commenting. It’s probably best to put them on at home, but entirely up to you. We always do ours at home. Cheers, David
