He's different from David Brent. Brent is so cringeworthy, especially when he gets together with Gareth or Finchy. And in one episode when he goes clubbing with Finchy and Gareth, he's so bloody awful, especially when he's pissed (drunk).
I’m rewatching the series from season 1 and I think they perfected the formula in season 2: every episode, Michael spends most of it being horrible, then in the last couple minutes gets some kind of win that makes you love him. A few examples: Dundies: this event is shown as annoying, demeaning, and all about feeding Michael’s ego as a wannabe comedian. But toward the end, some random people are mean to him so the whole staff rallies behind him to get him through it. Halloween: he spends the whole episode shirking the responsibility of firing anyone, to the point he actually lets Creed talk him into firing Devon randomly, and then fails to follow through on a consolation surprise. But in the last scene you see him be genuinely enthusiastic and generous with a bunch of trick or treating kids. Booze Cruise: again, he’s trying so hard to be the center of attention to the point where he declares the ship is sinking, causes a panic and gets locked up. But then he has a genuine mentor moment with Jim about Pam. These little moments are seeded through many of his worst episodes and are brilliant at providing us just enough material to empathize with his worst behaviours as just his insecurities at work. And it doesn’t hurt that Carell acts it brilliantly.
Michael is such a unique character that if anyone other than a comedic genius like Steve Carrell played him, the character would have been wildly unpopular
When the cold open about the flasher exposing himself to Phyllis aired, I was pleasantly shocked that the network censors allowed the whole "index finger through the open trouser fly"shtick to happen. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s ironic that Kevin is the name of one of the main minions Gru has working for him, because Kevin in the Office is definitely Michael Scott’s minion/encourager when Mike is feelin despicable
fun fact: when Micheal is dressed as Darryl you can see some black streaks on the side of his face, implying he was gonna do black face but decided against it
The move he pulled so that Jim wouldn’t get manager position was one of the top grimiest things Michael has ever done. I remember being so pissed at Michael in that episode lol. Had to keep telling myself it’s fake!!
You know what the scary thing is. Truly. There are bosses, coworkers, family members, “friends”, and people out there in the world that act like Micheal Scott. That to me is terrifying.
@@JayMaverick Just because a person is funny, doesn't excuse the bad things they've done. He was terrible to everyone in the office at some point, except maybe Ryan. Even Erin he treated harshly for some episodes.
Micheal is a great character, and you so see him grow throughout the show, but when you put them all together it really drives home that no matter what he says, he is a mean vindictive person.
And yet michael wonders why no one likes him or ever invites him on any other their social gatherings. Dude will turn any situation to make it about himself.
Today is Toby Flenderson’s last day I couldn’t sleep at night, So much energy…There’s certain days that you know you will remember for the rest of your lives, and i just have a feeling that today is one of those days.
“Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration” during the wedding vows gets me every time. 😂
Never liked his character but props to him working his business into a lot of greetings knowing he’ll be on film.
"So what do you do for work Vance?"
I'm pretty sure Refrigeration is his last name and his middle name is Vance Vance.
Despicable… I see what you did there
Despicable Mi…chael
@@systematicallyshocked 😂
😂❤😊
Well played, indeed.
Can someone please explain this?
Michael dating Pam's mum was so messed up that even Creed knew that it was messed up
I never even thought of that but you're exactly right. Wow. Makes it that much funnier. 😂
Pam and Jim were incredibly annoying that season ,and the directing for those few episodes tacky...remember how she slapped Michael
Her mom didnt have to do it
i dont get why its messed up tho honestly pam is not a teenager lmao
“Hey Darrel how’s it hanging” my favorite Michael Scott moment😂😂😂
Legitimately hilarious. Daryl being bitchmade about it.
Not being able to tell those girls apart was wild
He had to mark one of them just to remember which one 💀
They weren't even able to tell them apart so bad that they came back to the office with the wrong girls lmao
Were you able to? :D
They did look exaclty alike tho.. most asians do
😂😂
Every "God!" scream from Michael please.
yess those r my favorite
I want a "Dwight saying false"
“Relax, Annie” he did not have to do her like that…. she said she wasn’t a orphan Michael!😂
Little orphan Annie 😮
“Where are the turtles” was actually a good salesman move.
Jim:“Well you always left me satisfied and smiling haha.”
Michael:“That’s what she said” 💀
Its a testament that the writers and Steve Carrell made Michael lovable.
It's amazing that no matter how awful and disrespectful he is we always side with him

Almost like how Ricky Gervais played David Brent? 😂
“Jim is like big bird. He is tall, and yellow, and very nice, but would I put him in charge? No.”
2:19 how Kevin actually looked at Karen from behind saying "I'm guessing not". PERFECT!
The person who does the titles knows exactly what their doing by using “despicable” for Michael Scott
FYI it's they're

When he marked the Asian girl😭😭😭
"You have no sense of boundaries"
Clicked thinking we would just see his behavior at Phyllis' Wedding for 10 minutes.

Relax Annie 🤣

Michael Scott being himself for 10 minutes.
I don't know what I'm grabbing here 😂😂😂😂
"I've got THIS hock..." HOLY SH!T😂😂 🥩 So ridiculously rude & offensive but painfully funny
Bob Vance, Vance refrigeration
Yeah, I still don't know what sort of job he is in
Yeah Micheal Scott as Gru 🤣😜🤣
You mean Urkle Grue! 😂
Gotta love Michael 😂
Stanley’s Daughter and hitting Meredith 😂😩
Michael was such a jerk when he left Pam’s mom on her birthday
He was completely valid for leavin her but he did it in the worst way possible (the michael way😂)
It’s ironic that Kevin is the name of one of the main minions Gru has working for him, because Kevin in the Office is definitely Michael Scott’s minion/encourager when Mike is feelin despicable
And there's also a Bob! (Actually 2 if you count Robert California)
You did good job Office crew, i lived life of Office characters for few weeks watching the series i it was so much fun and emotions :)
1:32 - GLORIOUS MOMENT
Michael is my role model and idol
“I have this hock here” 😂😂😂😂😂. I still to this day don’t know what a hock is 😂😂. Like what was Michael grabbing lol
3:48 most despicable. Gru would be proud 😂
This could've just been 10 minutes from Scott's Tots.
Creed "thats messed up man" 😂 1:15
For 10 minutes ? Wasn't he despicable for the entire show, minus a very rare minute here and there ?
fun fact: when Micheal is dressed as Darryl you can see some black streaks on the side of his face, implying he was gonna do black face but decided against it
4:50 is one of the most painfull scenes ive ever watched
The move he pulled so that Jim wouldn’t get manager position was one of the top grimiest things Michael has ever done. I remember being so pissed at Michael in that episode lol. Had to keep telling myself it’s fake!!
“Hey Darrel how’s it hanging” rolling on the floor loooooooooooooool
@1:00 - forgot about “Easy, booster seat.” - great burn 😂
Michael was not being despicable when he hit Meredith, he was being negligent
Well afterwards he was despicable towards what he did
You know what the scary thing is. Truly. There are bosses, coworkers, family members, “friends”, and people out there in the world that act like Micheal Scott. That to me is terrifying.
7:45 Luke to Jeffrey Dahmer in few butt slaps
Hot chocolate with caramel and a shot of peppermint lol
He is so like a morph of gru and Cedric from Sofia the first
NO GOD PLEASE NO there's no "NO GOD PLEASE NO!!" !!!!
The hold the chickens breast is crazy😭😭
3:27 Dwight's laugh was real there
The older you get, the more you realize that Michael is a monster

😂Michael is a beast
"Easy, Booster Seat"
BEST EDIT YET!!!
yes. Michael must be telling himself "Despicable Me"
You forgot when he broke up with pam’s mom on her birthday because she was too old
Alternate title: Michael Scott being Michael Scott for 10 minutes
You are going to be sleeping by yourself for the rest of your life
I'm guessing they made this in honor of the new Despicable Me 4 since it feature Michael's actor, Steve Carrell 😂
I have absolutely no idea how Michael couldn't tell the Benihana waitresses apart they do not look similar lmfao
1:51 bit🤣🤣
Despicable Me Steve Carrel
Hold the chicken
So in other words the whole series except Pam’s art show
Michael Scott the typa guy to use a freeze ray in a coffee shop
I see what you did there 😂😂
