You haven't played the game if you think they were doing good at any point in the game. Not a single person picked a job that could actually help save people.
This show is great. I've watched nearly every episode of this, and it inspired me to start playing more board games. I never would have bought the handful of board games I own now if I hadn't seen them be played on this show. Keep up the great work Wil!
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know a way to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
Your timing is great. I am in Nursing School, and it is at the start of final exam season for critical care. A significant amount of my studies in that course is dedicated to the care of shock and burn victims. Thank you for reminding me of the importance of rapid, appropriate care. And all the fun! Morale increased!
Kelly: "I picked my card because he's Asian" Clare: *Lays out spreadsheet of tactical decisions for why she picked her card* I love her dedication to the game. You can tell her goal is not to socialize, to get PR, etc. she actually wants that win with every fiber of her being.
I love all TableTop videos, but this is easily my favorite. You guys made me laugh out loud more than once...and as an owner of Flash Point and all its expansions, I can attest to how difficult this game can be! Thanks for the entertainment and all your hard work in making it happen, it's much appreciated.
As I don't think they specifically mention it, the expansion they used in the video (For the figures) is the 'Extreme Danger' pack. The base game comes with 6 generic figures, but included most of the specialist roles, while this expansion added in the matching figures, along with a bunch of features introduced in the other expansions. Like the other expansions. it also gives you new maps, and also threw in an optional extra level, giving you more ground to cover, but also upping the difficulty.
I have seen every episode of Whose Line, and no one has done it better then Wil. That speaks of talents that are rare. Wil, I will DM for you any day, all love brother! PS: If you have not seen the Whose line episode with Wil in it, you have to check it out. No guest has ever before been able to keep up with the cast as much as Wil, and they have had wonderful guests.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS EPISODE, WILL AND TEAM! This is one of my favorite games. This is my #1 go to for any friends who come over and are not "board-gamers". "Easy" setting is great to get a flow. They definitely played the hardest settings. If you want to get friends into board games can't recommend this one enough. Please do more co-op games (Big Book of Madness or Centennials of the Multiverse)! BTW - love the paint job on the mini's (they come un-painted)
Was I the only one screaming "Surf Ninjas!" when Kelly Hu came on screen? I loved that movie. I must have watched it close to a thousand times. Had the Hugest crush on Ro-May hahaha
I do love the cinematic possibilities in this game. The last one we played included a firefighter heroically chopping through a wall where a person was trapped, entering the room...and hauling their stupid propane tank outside where it wouldn't explode.
One of my favorite games here. Did they not place a hot spot on the hazmat when it exploded? Check that, happens later on. Also smoke that is adjacent to fire become fire at end of turn.
Hmm, at 10:50 I'm not sure you can flip fire back to smoke if it's next to fire. I was fairly certain that smoke turning into fire when next to fire is instant and automatic - therefore you have to spend 2AP to fully extinguish the fire, rather than if it was on its own... but it's been a while since I've played :)
wil stating how he enjoyed being Dracula wearing a Bauhaus shirt...epic "hi, I'm Kelly hu. wil's stepson's fantasy girl..." (go back and watch the episode with them in it)
I used to own a version of the Bauhaus T shirt Wil wears in this episode, I bought it at one of their last gigs about 40 years ago. Thanks for making me feel REALLY old, Wil.
Shame you didn't have the structural engineer card (from one of the expansions). They cam use 2 AP to remove damage from a wall back to the draw pile. (Also, they can remove hotspots). One of my favorite role cards.
I still can't believe you have light lady deathstrike on table top, couldn't believe it when this was uploaded, can't now with the hundred time rewatching it, she seems fantastic!
Never say "never", but Wil isn't part of the crew, and TableTop is under worse management too so... If it comes back, it gotta be under different name.
I love how when Wil explains of how to play the game, he uses the pronoun "she" for the player. Thank you from all the lady gamers out there. This little use of terminology helps subtly change the way people subconsciously think about gamers and how women can love games just as much as their male counterparts.
Thank you for playing my favorite game with the three great guests. You four should have a re(match) with the highrise or second floors expansions and go one less veteran level.
Wil rolled a triple 7, that is super statistically unlikely which i think adds up to 1/512, if he was in vegas he'd hit the jackpot, but that reminds me how bad will is with dice rolls.
Definitely a good introductory boardgame. It was one of the first I played after a friend introduced me to it, bought myself a copy as soon as I could. Quick enough to pick up the rules, and can offer a good amount of replayability thanks to the dice rolls helping to make each session different.
Actually they did that thing right. Rules state that you lose when you have put out all damage cubes - not when you have run out of them. So yeah, they stopped playing at the right time. Still a few cringeworthy moments, tho
This is one of my favorite boardgames and my goto gateway game. Even though I think they mixed a few too many variants in for a first game (if this is their first game), i like this playthough. I'm usually the one to parse fire rolls and I also get all happily excited if explosions happen. Found it nice that Wil also got that going
I knew they were going to lose the moment Wil said that they had to roll for the fire truck and because, well, Wil is rolling die... Dice? I can never keep those straight. :/
I saw the title and i was like, "Cool, playing DC superheroes sucked into an alternate reality created accidentally by the Flash". Then i stated the video and was a little disappointed.
If Kelly just had her cousins from Tokyo to do their awesome dance like in "Welcome to Tokyo", then they would put out all the fire by sheer awesomeness.

I thought about this too. I bet firefighters playing this game would find it extremely unrealistic. I mean, you shouldn't open a door next to an open flame. It will explode.
Wil: If there's no explosions, I didn't lose the game for us. While "snake eyes" doesn't seem inherently bad in this game, it seems appropriate that that's the roll that killed them all, and of course, naturally, Wil was rolling. :D
What they need in the background is the nondescript mumblings of firefighters from Rescue 51 on the show Emergency. It was always played when the firemen were fighting the big fire that happened in every episode. Still one of the best shows from the 70's. And medical accurate many of the drugs and methods are still in use today, 40 years later.
bladedush yeah, I realized pretty much right away after hearing her voice a little more in the video. She took over the B&B after Arthur killed Leena. And to those who are upset about "spoilers", the show ended a few years ago.
I love when Seth and Clare are on. Those are my favorite episodes.
Nothing like watching Tabletop to bring my son and I closer together. Thank you guys at Geek and Sundry for being awesome!
Ssj Jano does your son like bukakke jokes?
When you see oh they're doing so good...check the time left.... they're going to lose
did anyone think for a second that a team game with will and dice ever would spell victory???
I mean it did work in one particular game...
I'm not gonna say what game but it did work.
I mean, no thanks to Wil though. He got carried through that lol.
You haven't played the game if you think they were doing good at any point in the game. Not a single person picked a job that could actually help save people.
When Will said they are playing on veteran I was like well rip
This show is great. I've watched nearly every episode of this, and it inspired me to start playing more board games. I never would have bought the handful of board games I own now if I hadn't seen them be played on this show. Keep up the great work Wil!
With all those hotspots, the wifi in that house is AMAZING!
One of my favorite parts this episode is everyone's (but especially Claire's) emotional intensity.
I've been living under a rock. I wish I had come across Tabletop sooner. Thanks for the game recommendations!
I blame it for costing me a fortune by getting me into the hobby 😉
As a wildland firefighter, how have I not heard of this game? I need this now!
By far one of my favourite TableTop Episodes (I love all of them, but this one was awesome. Plus, Seth Green is in it)
Seth's "F*ck fire, man" comment was hilarious. Looks like a fun game
Listen, you don't NEED the comma. or the space. You can ABSOLUTELY go ahead and perform that command without either

Riku Lindblad I would love to sink in
And will is only 19 but looks early 50's.
Michael Doyle you can’t be serious.
@@charleslegreatthegarbagemo7202 Totally kidding.
Michael Doyle totally?
Seth Green is great and should be in every episode.

@Matthew Haycock do you know if the figures are custom painted or if they come painted in the expansion? i found very little info on this online.
They have been painted specially for this video. They come unpainted in the box.
cheers thanks.
Matthew Haycock thank you so much this is what I was looking for in the comments. I just picked this game up at a board game auction for $10!

Robin Williams was technically a guest...
Richard Simmons was also legendary.

mrscary3105 lol I was in that's episode of whose line. Directly behind the host with my girlfriend
Well, a heavily based dice game with Wil Wheaton. I'm saddened that I knew the result as I read the game name.
Awesome game choice here! And I am always happy to see Seth and his humour. Great job Wil!!

Three of my favorite guests return to Tabeltop, and I am very pleased.
I love this game. it helped explain some of the things I have done to my family.
I do love the cinematic possibilities in this game. The last one we played included a firefighter heroically chopping through a wall where a person was trapped, entering the room...and hauling their stupid propane tank outside where it wouldn't explode.
This is what happens when you have Michael Bay direct a fire dept.
Love this episode, Clare and Seth are awesome every time they are on and I had a crush on Kelly since I was younger and saw her in Surf Ninjas.
One of my favorite games here.
Did they not place a hot spot on the hazmat when it exploded? Check that, happens later on.
Also smoke that is adjacent to fire become fire at end of turn.
You're talking around 29:20, right? That's what I also noticed.
It was the second turn of the game when they were ignoring flashover rules and it was annoying me!
@@therpgwriter8459 did it really matter, since they lost anyways? Ah the start conditions seemed really difficult

True, but they can't put out fire, so they have to have good teamwork.

Kelsey Poorman It's also written that way in the rulebook for flashpoint - it uses 'she' throughout. I really enjoyed that
No, it's just clumsy and confusing. 'He' is the generic pronoun, using 'she' as a political statement just sacrifices clarity for an empty gesture.
I love this show. I especially love the co-op games.
That Bauhaus shirt tho. I have a sudden urge to listen to Bela Lugosi's Dead.

I've been re-playing KOTOR 2 and every time Kelly speaks all I hear is Visas Marr. That's a good thing.
Doesn't the building collapse when you need a grab a black cube but there isn't any left? So they could have played more.
That is my understanding. But since they kept inadvertently cheating by leaving smoke next to fire, it evens out.
That's true. Still a great game. Especially for intro to board games, the rules can be explained quickly.
