As an adult ballet nerd and mother of a young danseur, I appreciate how you always give credit to the danseurs and their amazing talent in this video and all of your content! It means a lot to the aspiring young men in ballet to not be forgotten ❤
This touched our hearts and made us smile. We always love to see young men rising in the ballet world, it takes a very special kind of person to be a danseur 🫰🏻🫰🏻
As a professional ballerina 🩰, I am grateful to mothers like you who are raising the next generation of premier danseurs. Having a great relationship with my partner built on trust respect and commitment to support each other on and offstage has been vital to my career. That man deserves a medal 🥇 Спасибо большое, Миша!🩰🫶🏻
As an openly gay dancer, Marcelino is a great role model for young gay men wondering if there's a place for them in this world. Go Marcelino! And Anna Rose!
Merle Park and Wayne Eagling, flirting with the opera performers and performing with complete abandon are sublime in this. There is a film of them teaching Anna Rose and Marcelino.
Dame Merle Park and Wayne Eagling were impeccable. Anna Rose and Marcelino bring the same abandon, joy and energy that they brought to this pdd! This is bel canto dancing! 👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥💐💐💐
Thank you, an excellent discussion of this Pas De Deux. Fredrick Aston’s romantic choreography has proven to be most worthy of preservation, and continued production…
I had a big grin on my face throughout this whole video! Not only because this darling, favorite PDD is pure joy, but because your excitement and enthusiasm for it was contagious. Y'all are the best! 🙂❤
Rolling out merch & building a professional brand? Yo CONGRATSSS!! Honestly y’all have the most elegant and wholesome business I’ve ever seen 😭❤ wishing you success for yrs to come
Wow! I've not seen this PDD before; it's amazing, for all the reasons you gave. I can think of very few dancers who could make it this joyous, enchanting and seemingly effortless while staying on top of the choreography.
I hadn't seen this before, and I can see why you love it. The dancing was gorgeous and secure; and the choreography really matched the music. Thanks for introducing me to it!
Thank you ,girls, so much for sharing this pdd with us!!! It is so cute and makes you want to ✨SPRING into dancing✨ it right away😂! Keep up the hilarious puns and the great fun❤
Really enjoyed it. Also I think that the choice of a regency style dress for her with the high waistline gives me a lot of spring vibes because its so light and not as structured.
Hi Ladies, I am also a big cheerlearding partner stunt fan. While cheering comes from sport but also aims to be gracious and look easy for the spectator, ballet pas de deux comes from dance and becomes more an more athletic and difficult for both parts. In both cases, the man uses his strenght to make the woman shine but both have to be equally athletic and gracious This is a wonderful metaphore of the encounter of a man and a woman, yet different but aiming for the same love.
I don’t understand what pas de deux means. My fundamental French interpretation is not of two but it’s two dancers. Yes I’d love to see you both dance something you love to dance. Please
Absolutely delightful! Just out of curiosity, do these choreographers harbor secret resentments against the dancers? Just wondering because it sounds like a lot of things are made more difficult than they need to be. Although, I suppose they do is create a certain artistic result. Eg pirouetting in 1 direction, suddenly having to do the opposite. It reminded me of the dad in "Calvin & Hobbes" - he was really tired of reading 6 yo Calvin the same story ("Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooey" by Mabel Syrup) night after night after night. He grumbled that children's book authors should be forced to read their own books every day, and that architects should be forced to live in the buildings they design. So I suppose he would say that choreographers should be forced to do the dances they are choreographing. 😂 Thank you so much for the video! Have a lovely week! 🙏💚🦢☀️
I always thought Johann Strauss had nothing to do with ballet, only the dances you will see in January in Vienna, especially if you know about the Vienna new year concert every year on 1st January. However, I am glad to see that you do know something about Johann Strauss and he did have something related to ballet.
Hello! Love your videos! ❤ I would love to know what you think are the strengths of various ballet troupes and dance companies (why are they interesting or exciting to watch)? For example, I like keeping up with the San Francisco ballet bc I find their work intellectually rigorous and often historically interesting. I love ABT and NYC ballets for their exciting collabs and new choreography (especially the musicians they work with)! I’m curious about more companies. No worries if you don’t get around to this 😄
Love your videos! 🙌😀❤️ May I ask if you have any opinions or observations about Christopher Wheeldon’s choreography? Would love any insights from professionals 😀
Such a shame you didn’t use Alina Cojocaru and Johan Koborg’s recording, they set the highest bar for this pdd imo: exquisite execution on top of explosive chemistry!
ua-cam.com/video/ygRhknBDids/v-deo.html Are you familiar with Osipova/Vasiliev? I was amazed at this duo's opening lifts. I took some ballet, worked as a music teacher for 35 years and continue to watch ballet. I found your YT channel and enjoy it very much. Topics to consider: 1. Osipova/Vasiliev, 2. Danseurs and difficult lifts/types/ names of lifts...how they raise/lower/hold ballerina, 3. What is your background/experience as dancers...show videos of your past performances? 4. When ballerinas fall back into arms of danseurs HOW do they keep their pointe shoe from not slippping...this amazes me!! Keep up the good work!!!
Would you EXQUISITE ladies ever consider putting the subtitles as... supertitles? It seems some of the steps I really want to see that you are discussing, are being partially blocked by the subtitles.... and I love the subtitles, but might they not be less intrusive at the top? Thank youuuu and with joyous greetings of the (spring) season...
Oh, thank God. I thought you were going to feature that over-the-top, Soviet-era, fake-glammy, uber-trashy “Spring Waters” PDD. Sorry, I don’t like that circus act PDD.

In a few years those good young dancers will dance this piece as wonderfully as Alina Cojocaru and Johan Kobborg do. They are the paradigme !

Agreed!! The whole thing is perfect; the music, the choreo, the costumes, the vibes… *exquisite* ✨✨

I would love an in depth explanation of Balenchines Seranade :) one of my favorite pieces

Yay! Thanks for watching! 🥳🥳🌸🌸

I like the Royal Ballet so much, I also like Anna Rose O' Sullivan. I didn't know the male dancer, but he is so good and they make a cute pair.

It’s directly translated “step of two” and refers to a male and female dancer performing together. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! 😆😆🫰🏻🫰🏻

Some of them are ,,like Bournonville, superb dancers themselves an use the oppertunity to show off.
@@firstlast6109 I hadn’t thought of that, but it makes sense! Thank you for replying! 🙏😄🧡
Do you need a fun and wholesome ballet to take your family to for spring? Rite of Spring is such a beautiful ballet for the season!
Great variation. I"ve seen both dancers many times but never together. Brilliant together. A joy to watch.
worked all day yesterday so only watched today. fist time to see this and love this PDD! no wonder it's S-tier!
Did you know that Die Fledermaus is an operetta and the literal translation of its name is The Bat 🦇? 14:46

How do those lifts feel. That one handed lift looked like it would be painful. 💕 your videos.
It’s not the most comfortable lift in the book that’s for sure 😅😅
We love talking about all things spring! (Just maybe not the rite of spring..)
Where’s my partner? Frederick Ashton’s choreography? ☑️
Johann Strauss II Waltz? ☑️
Where’s Leonid? IYKYK!
