As a former car salesman for Mercedes Benz, i would never treat someone with that kind of disrespect. Props to you Carl for explaining yourself and still being humble about it. They don't deserve the sale from you.
i went to merc show room few year ago. The saleman refused to let me test drive a250, later i bought brand new bmw m2 competition 😂, now im merc anti-fan. Maybe im not old enough to test drive oldman’s car
@@minhthongpham3678 well it depends, sometimes some units are not really allowed to be test driven like they don't have a demo unit for that A250. This will depend on dealership and management rules. But if the sales person never explained that then maybe he was just prideful and dint want to bother spending his time. Haha that M2 is sweet thats a good choice!
The salesmen at our local Mercedes dealership are absolutely awful. I already want to trade in my E43 for a Porsche.
A similar situation happened with me too…I dress in a very minimalistic way and I guess that’s the reason the salesman thought I couldn’t afford the AMG-E53 that I was so eager to buy….

Great that you mentioned which the dealership was. Hopefully people see this and buy from the dealership with the service minded staff. I would have walked away as well. I probably would have been less humble than him, and would have driven my Bugatti over there and talked to the owner of Qalam Motors regarding their staff. Very impressed with how humble he is 🤙

Back then you had cash with you or a check. I preferred cash. So, I just opened the bag and told him; your loss and walked away. He was running after me apologizing.

Absolutely the right choice with that dealership. Service is key what ever you are buying. I used to be a butcher and always went above and beyond for any customer that came in no matter how I was spoken too I’d treat every customer with respect.
