I'm a diehard Reallusion user but I 'm smelling a steep and enormous challenge is coming from Unreal Engine. Reallusion should improve their rendering engine to RTX level as did by Replikant. Unreal Engine 5.4 have everything like Rigging, Weight painting, Modular ControlRig, AutoRetargeter, Character Creator (Metahuman). I guess in coming edition Unreal will give more focus on polishing feature of animation, pictorial bone picker like iClone, drag n drop animation, constrainers (look at), better way of clothing and content creation for Metahuman. With World standard facial animation in metahuman Unreal will beat everyone in this section. Moreover, Unreal Engine is virtually free. So, take a call and improve yourself Reallusion as there is no place to be complacent.

Replikant is literally built on Unreal, hence why it looks so good. Im not sure what iclone is built on but I agree it needs a modern render so it competes as a final stage platform not just a cog in the wheel

The unfortunate part of this response is that Reallusion is not listening, and will not pay attention to it, as they have already stated that this isn't what they are trying to do, even if it is something that will eventually be their downfall to the company(possible near future at that). They are too bull headed, thinking that they can stand the test of times with just being (as WillyCash69 best described it) ""A COG IN THE WHEEL". It's great to be a part of a pipeline, but that only goes so far, as EVERY company, just as stated here, eventually will figure out how to do what they are doing, placing them into an early retirement.
On top of that, like you also stated, Unreal Engine is FREE and they (Reallusion) are charging an arm and a leg for their usage. So, it's only a matter of time, before they end up being wiped off the map, and that time is coming very shortly, if they continue down this road. I'm old user, and this has been something that has been stated over and over again in the Forums/Feeback Tracker. So, if they aren't listening in their own Forums, then they most certainly won't pay attention to a UA-cam post, sad to say.
