When I was 6 years old I begged my parents for a new dog over and over, finally they gave in. We went to an adoption center for pets a few days later and their were so many adorable dogs,but there was 1 in particular that caught my eye....she was a small little dog with big brown eyes and black fur, she was adorable until I noticed how she was so skinny that you could see her ribs under her skin! It was obvious that she had been mistreated before and refused to eat. She looked very depressed and sad, but when she saw me her eyes lit up and she gave me this pleading look that was sad yet adorable. I instantly fell in love with her and requested we adopt her. The people there were quite shocked that I chose her and keep on trying to convince me to get another dog, but I refused multiple times until they gave up trying to convince me to get another dog, and here we are today 5 years later with our beloved julie :)
