Almost go time here for warm weather veg! Everyday getting more perennials and annuals planted and made room to get those toms out to GH.
Found 2 empty packets of Agastache and didn’t recall seeing them and was wondering if I gave them away accidentally. Relieved that I found them still inside as I started them later-whew! My expanded flower garden is bursting with plants and next year some thinning going on I’m sure.
We are getting a bit of rain here and there and hope it makes it to CN SOON as I’m not looking forward to a smoke filled summer as they predict. Latina is returning so hopefully not. Wish they could create more firebreaks in their forests. There is no way to stop fire in dense forests with no breaks.

I'm growing a few agastache as well. We were just talking about how bad the smoke was, ugh. Well 98% is planted out. I'm wiped out and filthy today.

@@ourbackyardgarden congratulations! Tomorrow it has to get done here. Seen blossoms on peppers on top shelf.
Growing, Apache Sunset and Raspberry Daiquiri which sounds delish! Not sure where they will go as all the fenced area is almost to the limit.

Your front yard is beautiful. What is the sun situation for the bearded iris? Mine have stopped flowering and I'm wondering if it is because they are in too much shade. But it looks like you might have a good amount of shade in your front yard and your iris are thriving.

Thank you. These iris grow anywhere we put them. I don't baby them, split them, fertilize or water them. We get morning shade and blazing afternoon sun to sunset in that area. We planted those maples after our ash had to be removed and at the time with tiny trees it was very sunny all day. We really planted 5hem there for instance gratification and lack of other space at the time. Everyone driving and walking by are awestruck. We are too!

@@ourbackyardgarden Thanks for the info! I think I'll have to move mine to my front yard where I have similar light conditions. Not looking forward to having to dig 300 iris but I don't want them to go to waste.

@@elpenguino55 I hear ya. Every niw and then I'll thin out out and share them, or add them to random corners of the yard. But I haven't done a true split in 10 years. They are quite invasive here.

I started my tomato and pepper seeds late 4/28 (although I started that same as last year). Mine are still just babies. How many tomatoes are you planting this year? I planted about 160 seeds. Too much? :)

160 omg!!! Did they all germinate? I did 72 got 68 plants. Costoluto genovese didn't germinate at all. But it's ok I had nowhere to put it.

@@ourbackyardgarden I've got pretty good germination. All MIgardener seeds except I saved seeds from Red Pear Tomato and 100 Fingers of Naples paste tomatoes. I'll photo the tomato tray tmrw and post on IG. Maybe I'll sell some plants to help off-set some of my seed costs this year. Actually, I have quite a few volunteer tomatoes in the garden beds that grew from last years fallen tomatoes. Oh boy. Good thing we eat a plant based diet!

@@PinkamingoHaven I might have a little driveway stand this year if it all produces weather permitting. Hopefully no heat domes or smoke
