I would not buy these bottom of the barrel left overs from importers at this point. But all the nice condition surplus rifles are still out there. It is just person to person selling. I guess it is just easier to push a button and buy something verse searching stores in person so people keep buying junk.
What are your steps to clean and prepare a rifle in that shape? Really thinking about buying one of these just because of the price.. thank you!
Holy shit, how did the customs service let their shit come in with all the bugs
Not near as bad as your rifle but the lee enfields I got had s little bug action going on.
I think Hunters Lodge has Carcanos for $109.00
Dude, do you not recognize the scratches are made by rough grit sandpaper?
Yikes. I just bought a calvary carbine that arrives Tuesday after Christmas. It, also, was on sale for $149, so here's hoping it doesn't. Look like it was dragged behind the truck the whole way here. We'll see what "good/very good" is worth.
What did it look like??
@@DerricksFunnyFarm decent! Stock was knocked around a little bit, some light surface rust at wood line. Bore was really clean, but it was 1941 production, so it didn't have a long life as a weapon of war. Now that they have cut the prices on the 1899-1918 I might want to get one of those. I just want one for the history of has, doesn't need to be a museum piece, just a story to tell.
You need a Canadian ross rifle
Ain't noth'n "Royal" about RTI.
I cannot understand why you would by such junk guns from them, seemed like you should of learned your lesson by now, you get what you pay for.
Where does one get original Italian surplus ammo
I’m not a fan of restoring surplus rifles because it ruins the character. I’d say with all the deep scratches and brass pins in the stock this rifle would be fun to refinish and I’d feel guilt free. It would be nice to see it derusted polished down and reblued. The stock could have that crack repaired and it might clean up good.
Have you ever seen a with a Grenade launcher
Collector Grade A++......typical RTI junk.
Got a $50 rifle for over $150😅
As someone who grew up with literally barrels of these at gun shows - in far better condition for *far* less - this seems like, well, scraping the bottom of the barrel to me. I honestly don't get it.
You over-paid, but I admire your optimism.
Where can one find an upper handguard for these?
So you might actually need 3 more TS carbines then.... the m38 TS in 7.35, the m38 TS in 6.5.... and an m38 TS converted to 7.9!
I have the M38 in 7.35, but it needs an extractor for the bolt. Anyone know where to get one?
I can't believe that folks are thrilled with this trash! I would much rather pay three times as much and get a nice, hand selected by me, rifle. How much more money do you have to spend on parts to complete a still worthless rifle. To me, condition is everything, especially bore condition. I haven't seen anything in your Sanford and Son collection that I would be happy with.
It seems like the Ethiopian imports are in really bad shape however the European imports seem to be in very good condition. Idk if this will continue to hold true it looks to be.
150 for that peace of garbage???? The prices for firearms have to be insane in the US
Glad I gave it a pass.
bro im a pest guy and those bugs are are %100 bedbugs
Wall hangers not shooters
Not getting a shooter for cheap
Holy shit, from the thumbnail I thought this was a female host. My god was I wrong.
Those are definitely bed bugs.
Why do you continue to purchase such garbage?
Those rip-off artists are counting on you "collectors" to take that trash off their hands. If they couldn't sell that junk, it would disappear.
The box it came in is worth more than that mess!
