    Hey Aaron: I know this is 3 years after this video came out 🤣 but I have a question about admissions. I am a junior in high school and am planning on applying to the business school. I am in-state but plan on living on campus and currently have a 4.1 weighted GPA and an 1180 SAT. No ACT. What do u think about my chances of admissions?

    Although some schools are not requiring this year's applicants to submit a GMAT score, folks should keep in mind that if you're a strong test-taker, you could arguably be at a little bit of an advantage over other applicants if you do take the GMAT and submit a score that's above the school's median score for last year's admitted class.

    Hey! I just found your channel and honestly it’s a lifesaver. I’m coming to Rutgers NB this fall as a freshman and before you I had virtually no info on what being a student there is actually like. I just have a couple of questions about Greek life since I’m considering pledging at some point, is it a big part of campus life that you’ve seen? I’ve seen some things about frats, but not as much about sororities

      Glad you find it helpful! Greek life is definitely a big thing at Rutgers although it's a big school so you can have a great time without it as well. We actually have a relatively small percentage of students in Greek life for a state school. (Only 10% of the student body is involved in Greek life) but those who are involved get alot out of it. My advice would be to at least go to some rush events or check it out at the activity fair to see what its all about and then make a decision.There are plenty of things to do outside of greek life but make sure to get involved somewhere. I'm personally in a professional fraternity but I also hang out with friends in social ones and people on who do club sports. I don't know a ton about sororities but I think they have a good rush process where you interact with a few different ones to see which one you fit in best. Hope that helps a little

    Hey man, I really enjoy your videos. Would you recommend running outside or in the gym? I'm sure it's nice to see the scenery and the busy traffic that RU has to offer.

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  6 років тому +1

      Thank alot man! I enjoy making them. I would recommend running outside, especially if you're on Livingston, Busch or Cook Douglass campus because they're a little quieter. College Ave campus gets kind of busy so I try to avoid running over there. We do have great gyms though so I guess its personal preference. I do both depending on the weather

    hey! your vids have been super helpful! im a freshman and was admitted to RBS and was wondering if i would take a lot of classes on Livingston as a freshman because i want to live on college ave.. does the campus we dorm on really matter or would i have a mix of classes on college ave and livi?

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  4 роки тому

      Justin Love Hey Justin, that’s awesome- glad the videos are helpful. You’ll definitely be taking some classes on Livingston although college ave is a fine place to live. You’ll just have to take the bus or bike/walk (kind of far for walking) over to Livingston for class. The campus you live on doesn’t matter too much. College ave and livi are both pretty good for RBS students. The only place I’d say you should avoid is cook Douglass due to how far it is

    Do Rutgers NB and newark share a business school?

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  5 років тому

      They're two separate schools and the application process is different for each. New Brunswick is a little bit harder to get into. They do share some resources though

    dear aaron burt - i got admission in Rutgers Business School- can you provide details of Dorm and its pricing

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  5 років тому

      Hi Magani, the basic dorms for freshmen cost about $7,700 a year. You will also have to purchase a meal plan for about $2,000 which covers all of your dining expenses. Depending on what campus you want to live on many people live in private houses and apartments that they rent during junior and senior years in the city of New Brunswick. Congrats on your admission! Hopefully I'll see you around campus

    can we take bikes around campus?

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  3 роки тому

      Definitely- There's pretty good bike infrastructure in New Brunswick and if you google it theres a pdf out there with a map of all the bike racks, covered and uncovered, and bike lanes. I used to always ride from CA to Cook Doug and Busch for classes

    Hey so did u get into the business school when u applied to Rutgers. I’m a junior and was looking into the business but I’m not sure how it works and if high school students can apply straight to the business school.

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  5 років тому

      Slayenn when you apply to Rutgers you can choose up to three schools to apply to. Business is one of the options. I chose business, SAS and SEBS and ended up accepting my offer at the business school. You can however always transfer between schools if your grades are good enough although that is a little more difficult than getting in directly out of high school. Good luck with your college apps!

      Your scores were to get into the business school.

    Hey Argon!! can u give some info about MBA in pharmaceutical management

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  6 років тому

      Definitely. This is offered through the Business School here at Rutgers and there are several similar options, but the pharmaceutical management program has a few requirements that set it apart. Courses will include ethics in pharma, healthcare management, etc. in addition to pharmaceutical marketing classes. I'm not sure what the pre requirements are but a pharmacy or a business background would definitely be helpful. Here are some more resources- myrbs.business.rutgers.edu/mba/pharmaceutical-management

    Do you think it's possible to get into Rutgers with a 3.2 gpa with 1330 sat? Love ur videos btw.

    • @AaronBurt
      @AaronBurt  5 років тому

      It's definitely worth applying. Make sure to apply to SAS because they have slightly easier requirements. Also if you have a weighted GPA use that. When I took the SAT it was on a 2400 scale but I think your 1330 out of 1600 is pretty good. I'm not sure about the GPA but theres a good tool on Naviance that compares your scores to everyone that applied to the school you choose. Lastly make sure to write really good essays because Rutgers does read them and they can act as a tie breaker. Good luck!
