Love it! Im gonna make some for my house and as gifts. I think i am going to add some fairy lights with timers to the area where the frogs are so they light up more. Maybe around the base too.

Really like this, so beautiful and functional. The walnut stain is a very rich color. Glad the silicone fingers came in handy! 👍🏻 I was thinking this would lend itself to the solar lights which are put on fence posts. If you placed one near the post top above each 🐸 frog, you could then see those cute frogs at night. I hope the lights would fit the width of your posts and aren’t too expensive. I was thinking instead of gluing your decor to the top of the posts, you could cut/buy squares of wood, seal the wood and mount your decor to the squares. Place sticky back velcro underneath the squares and on top of the posts and voila! Similar idea for the base or use decor that can be removed easily or functions year round. It would then be so easy to change it out with the seasons. Lots of possibilities. 🤔 TFS this inspiring project.

Beautifully thought out project as always! You have the best ideas! Oh, btw, the reason the wood is green is because it's pressure treated. It helps it last longer and resist bugs and fungus.

TYFS Jody!!! Super cute idea. I'm thinking I'll make one too that I can decorate for the seasons. Saw another video where this gal used solar lights from Wal-Mart that could be used in the sun or shade as well and I'm thinking I'll try that so I can put mine on my walkway that is shaded most of the time. Also, watching you tape the timbers to hold the glue what about using a couple small bungee cords from Dollar Tree to hold them as well, just an idea. Anyway, thank you again for sharing and have a great last week of June :)

Very cute!....I used to have one next to my front door steps. It set there for a few years until the little bunny that was glued to it got broken. I can't for the life of me remember what happened to it after that lol.

Love it Jody , I was wondering if you could drill holes on the bottom and attach the spikes (from the lights) in the bottom and stick in the ground? I probably put three lights in the top, would there be enough space?

Maybe you could have your husband cut a couple of discs that you can use to change out your figurines with the seasons. An get some all thread drill a hole in the two smaller post on top put the all thread in the hole with some clear gorilla glue. And drill a hole in the discs an just twist them on to tighten down. That way you won't have to risk the figures fall off and breaking or whatever. But that's just a suggestion. ☺ love the video.

Your post is green because it’s pressure treated for outdoors. Did your glue stick? Sometimes it’s hard to glue pressure treated and stained wood.wood.
