@@mariaharuspex9126 Xiao is doing well and he was really happy when I made him almond tofu. He is usually a really picky eater and does not like most dishes but every time he gets some almond tofu, he eats everything on his plate. It is still his favorite dish and that will probably never change.
Thank you for this recipe. It came out absolutely perfect on the first time. I used agar threads and used scissors to cut it down and used 2 tbsp of threads. So much better than the artificial too sweet package almond jello versions. Like that it’s all natural.
When I was a kid I love Almond Cake. I grew up in Chinatown Manila. Also, that desert Almond Jelly with fruit cocktail. Also the black and white gulaman (almond Jelly and black grass Jelly in syrup and finely crushed ice). Nice content.
This is xingren doufu in Chinese, and YEAH! was actually my favorite childhood dessert too. Unfortunately my mom was horrible at making it so I could only eat it on occasional trips to Cantonese dim sum restaurants.
A great dessert. It is popular here in Singapore and can be purchased from dessert stalls but the fruit cocktail is normally canned type. Nothing beat a home made dessert!
Yas! I’m early! This reminds me of TaHo from the Philippines (brought by my Chinese ancestors) Our TaHo is made of Soy Beans but since I’m part Hawaiian my family has combined the traditional filipino soy milk TaHo with almond flavouring.
OMG .... This looks sooooo good !! I'm a jelly freak xD since I'm a kid I ADORE jelly! And I'm gonna make this one for sure ! Thank you for the great idea !
I must make this one. I guess for sure i won't fail this one. Thank you so much for teaching such an easy recipe. I only wonder besides almond and jasmine what other flavour can i use? Thxxx
Omg this is perfect! I always end up adding almond extract to the boxed version anyway since it's never strong enough...so like you said, might as well make it from scratch! :D
I have been looking for an authentic almond jelly recipe for a few years now because it used to be my obsession. I learned to love it from China. Could I put the Almond jelly mix into jumbo fluted silicone cupcake liners? The only silicone thing I have are those. I was thinking I could turn the jelly upside down with the flutes on top of the fruit salad.
What is the total hours for making this salad? Cuz I'm thinking to do this in our activity on our school but we only have 3 hours Sorry for my bad english 😅
Thank you for your explanations! I have one question: can you use just milk ? I mean instead boiling water with agar, to boil milk with agar? To make it super milky :)
I just saw the live-cast that mentioned that this recipe might be one of the least popular ones posted by Pai. Though I have no doubt that this is delicious, I'm thinking that it is too similar to Jello fruit cups or 'Ambrosia' sold in the local supermarket deli to be considered exotic enough to make.
Thanks for sharing Pailin, I tried this and it was so good and so easy. Would you happen to have a recipe for the coconut dessert cubes that they serve at dimsum?
What's the difference between Hot Thai Kitchen and Pai's Kitchen exactly? Did you just rebrand at some point? I see both names in your videos and was curious. Thanks!
We do something similar in our Taiwanese household. Though we don't make our own fruit salad xD we usually use canned peaches, canned lychees and canned pears :3
hallo pailin , i am from borneo i fans of your vlog so, yesterday i show you video u many use cilantro root but in my hometown i cant get it ,, can i chance that with basil or something us suggest . thanks pailinn..
Palin Im new to your channel and wanted to know if you could make CHOOCHI CURRY. I've only seen it at only one Thai restaurant but really enjoyed it. I think its better than Panag curry. Thanks in advance

I will try to make this for my boy Xiao. He thinks that almond tofu tastes like fond dreams. I hope Xiao will come home soon.
Ayo mate, sadly he didnt come home
How's your Xiao?
Was he happy?)

LOVE this. Your agar videos are your most popular! The white agar is so pretty.
I LOVE almond jelly, never thought of making it from scratch. Thanks so much!
Living in Australia, I always see summerly refreshing food in winter and vice versa. But not this time!! Wooohoooo
Yes to agar desserts! This one is so cute and summery! Which especially helps after this week of heavy rain.
A great dessert. It is popular here in Singapore and can be purchased from dessert stalls but the fruit cocktail is normally canned type. Nothing beat a home made dessert!
I really want to make this

Thank you ka p Pailin. You’re the best. Making this right now. Will share the result!
Yumm! I'd probably dump the fruit salad into the mould and just spoon out the whole thing :D

Thank you for your explanations!
I have one question: can you use just milk ? I mean instead boiling water with agar, to boil milk with agar? To make it super milky :)
don't have almond extract, so I may go with a different flavoring, but I may try this out later.

I know I'm makin' this soon!!! 😄
Mmmm, not sure about this one.
But I'll give it a try.
How soon can I make this for Thanksgiving
Thanks for sharing Pailin, I tried this and it was so good and so easy. Would you happen to have a recipe for the coconut dessert cubes that they serve at dimsum?
I love your coking
What's the difference between Hot Thai Kitchen and Pai's Kitchen exactly? Did you just rebrand at some point? I see both names in your videos and was curious. Thanks!
Emily Specter HTK is for Thai food and Pai's kitchen is for other recipe outside the Thai cuisine. :)
Oh that makes sense! Thank you!
Hallo HOT THAI KITCHEN from another almond pudding lover. 😉
I don’t know if this has already been asked, but can you use coconut milk in this recipe?
We do something similar in our Taiwanese household. Though we don't make our own fruit salad xD we usually use canned peaches, canned lychees and canned pears :3
Emaline L., yes same here in my house.. I make it for Iftar in Ramadhan, so refreshing
Emaline L. I
"I wish I were dead" on the mug LMAO
I will do it soon.
Pai, explain the white mug in the background Lolol
muyly kong I went through the whole video twice just to find that mug 😂
lol - I gave it to her as a gift. We both have a pretty weird sense of humor :)
Adam Hunter is pai your Girlfriend 😍😍
yummmmm
May i ask why my almond jelly is yellowish instead of white? I use evaporated milk. Thank you, I hope you will answer my question.
yummy 😋
In Japan, it's called annin tofu.
hallo pailin , i am from borneo i fans of your vlog so, yesterday i show you video u many use cilantro root but in my hometown i cant get it ,, can i chance that with basil or something us suggest . thanks pailinn..
humairoh anisa, i think cilantro can't be replaced with basil, it's different kind of herb. With celery (seledri) maybe?
You don't have cilantro roots? Or no cilantro at all. If no roots you can sub stems, but otherwise....nothing else quite tastes like it.
Shout out to tiny whisk!
How much time does it take for the agar agar to completely freeze ?
I think I cooked my agar agar too long! How long is a good cooking time?
Sawadee kaap I like your 😊
NomNom 😋
Palin Im new to your channel and wanted to know if you could make CHOOCHI CURRY. I've only seen it at only one Thai restaurant but really enjoyed it. I think its better than Panag curry.
Thanks in advance
Cade Foster
She did it here :)

I always think that Dao Huai is a kind of tofu and soy mixed together @@ never expect it to be just milk with agar
Pailin, where do you get the silicone cake mold?
On amazon, you can check out all the tools I use here kit.com/hotthaikitchen/kitchen-tools-i-use
Is it acceptable to add shrimp to green curry with chicken? This is at a restaurant in America. Would that be rude or no?
That would totally be fine.
Can u use gelatin instead??
Everytime I see an edible white cube I think of Xiao
can I use almond powder instead of almomd extract?
I don't believe those are the same things.
Hii ! I like all your recipes and i tried this one but i don’t know why it’s didn’t set as firm as yours ☹️ . Can you tell me why is like please???
PS I think Kanten is pronounced with the stress on the first syllable, like the word 'content.'
Well Japanese doesn't really have stress in the way English does, so it's up to you where you want to put the stress in English :D
Japanese person pronouncing it: ua-cam.com/video/4S6LhWJE2N8/v-deo.html
I think it was pretty close, but with a more Thai tinge on the second syllable
Oooh okay, thanks guys! TIL!
Mmmm ♡
👍👍👍
This is going to cost so much more than the box and can...worth a try though, I guess
Why did you laugh at 2:24 :O
