English: This time we will make a more demanding hike to a peak of the Untersberg massif called the „Großer Rauher Kopf“ simply the „big rough head“ lol. The mountain peak „Rauher Kopf“ (1640 m) is near the town of Bischofswiesen in the valley of Berchtesgaden in the district Berchtesgadener Land. We will have a fantastic view to Mount Watzmann, Mount Hochkalter, the Hohe Göll, Mount Schneibsten, Fackstein, to the massif of the Funtenseetauern with Mount Großer Hundstot and all the other big mountains in Berchtesgaden Alps.
Time stamps:
15:35 start of the rocky parts
23:14 rope part
34:01 views from the summit
34:35 looks like a Red Kite, it’s a raptorial bird of the plains, so I was surprised to see him in the mountains.
36:13 you can see a butterfly called „Schwalbenschanz“

Greetings Christian! This is quite a long upload with wonderfully mellow music! You drive so long and hike in these areas? Are you alone? Wow you’re a brave, independent soul. Sending greetings from the NYC Concrete Jungle 🌉🌃🌃🌃
Hi Suzi :) ... oh, I have to hike alone as no one of my 2 hiking buddies can hike with me actually. I live around 30 kilometers in distance from the mountains but 50 kilometers from the core of the Berchtesgadener Alps, where the really big mountains are. I never was in NYC, must be a stunning experience to visit and also to live there. Sending love & light, Christian.
I found it difficult to watch, Christian, haha. Wouldn't catch me hiking that kind of trail. Are you by yourself? Not cool. Love the music. 💜
Yep, I became a lonsome hiker :( ... and I'm kind in a strange mood actually as my life and myself are changing ... that's why I did it ... Anyway, thank you for joining me on that climb, sending much Love and Light, Christian.
Which flowers are blooming already? I think they smell good.
Oh, IDK all the kind of flowers but blue ones and pink ones and of course the lovely dandelion :)
Not the Hundstod! Hundstod is behind the right side of Watzmann. You see the Schönfeldspitze.
:o ... oops ... kind of confusing because when you drive into the mountains the Großer Hundstot shows up right of the Watzmann.
The flower is the poisonous Seidelbast.
The soft pink one? It's just beautiful and it's obviousely quite rare to find, it was the only one I saw next to the trail.
Can't wait to hike!
Your welcome, BGL is yours :)
Great video! One of my favorite hikes! There are beautiful birds up there. I remember seeing the eagle family, the two parents and their baby flying, teaching the baby to fly. I was hiking down already from Rauhen Kopf. I've also seen a frog, and a fire salamander there. The animals like it there because there is less foot traffic. Not mountain huts, no cars. Very serene.
Wow, the whole Eagle family? The bird of prey I saw was a red kite I guess because of it's dovetail. I wondered to see him in the mountains because he doesn't belong there, it's the biggest raptorial bird in the flatlands and is almost as big as an eagle. ... Last Saturday a lot of people hiked up there and I wondered because it's not so easy to climb up there in the last third of the hike.
@@artfantasies , it is busy but not like Grünstein or Kneifelspitze.
@@christinahauzer3565 Yep, the way up to Grünstein is like the motorway in den Berchtesgadener Alps. I wonder that this little mountain is still standing because all the people causing erusion.
