Thank you again Professor Jack for another nice ride. Looking forward to the next adventure. Thank you for moving the country. Your a great example of a Professional Driver.
I live in Texas and you are correct about Buckies! See if you can drive 50 miles in Texas and NOT see a sign for Buckies; Failing that, see if you can drive 50 miles without seeing fewer than 5 signs for Buckies!
I heard one time that some cities in Texas don't have zoning laws. Reason you could see a roller coaster amusement park next to homes. Thank you for the amazing videos always enjoy them.
Always enjoy the videos that start out at pre-dawn, I imagine myself doing the same, hitting the road early with a good cup of coffee. Thanks, look forward to the next trip.
Buc-ee's is a tourist destination/rest stop for travelers on the highways of Texas. They feature a huge gift shop, food store and various take-out restaurants. Their business model is interesting, but I'm not sure why they wouldn't also cater to truckers. I stopped at a Buc-ee's in Temple, TX a few months ago and I said, "Where are all the truckers?" None were to be found... "Billed as the world's largest convenience store, the 67,000-square-foot colossus on Interstate 35 between Austin and San Antonio is 20 times the size of a 7-Eleven and longer than a football field. It features 60 gasoline pumps, 80 soda dispensers, 31 cash registers, 23 flavors of fudge and entire aisles devoted to varieties of popcorn and beef jerky. The pièce de résistance: 84 gleaming toilets, each with its own dispenser of hand sanitizer and shined at all hours by a small army of attendants." ~WSG
Hello Jack from the Mississippi Gulf Coast I really enjoyed this trip going from coast to coast and even covering Area 51 to boot the only thing you left out Jack was a trip down Route 66 and I think we passed that on the way but I always like the fun facts you always add to your video's like the earth quake fault line I know I passed that 100 times and never noticed it before but thanks for the ride along Jack and safe trucking.
A mast at editing and creating neat videos, thanks for sharing with us. Much appreciated. Now If I can drive down to TEXAS and go to a BUCKEE's, guess I have to put that in the bucket things to do.
I love a good mix of industrial and residential. My front curb is wide open for a combi.and please blow that horn for the kids. P.S. If you could cut the corner 3 feet tight when you leave I'd really appreciate it. We'll be sure to leave a light on for you and a few bicycles laying around just for fun.
There is no real zoning commission in Houston. I used to live there and asked the same question. The reason told to me was because the founders of Houston were land developers and they did not want it. I don;t know if that is entirely true.
the katy yard was built after albertsons gro closed down, just down the road,, knight was one of the trucking co that del. gro out of the warehouse, and they used it as drop off yard. when they built the yard off of franz rd, it was not built up yet.
Buccees are not your ordinary gas stations, the sheer size of them let you know something is up,they sell items you will never find in your ordinary gas station for example food and souvenirs and I think the fuel is cheaper at buccees.👍
Great video.........early lying in the bed for relaxing.......I like to eat so belly fat just reduce a little.........what are u doing as u free inside the truck......doing what.............
nice id thank you i looked up buc-eees and here is some of what i read abou them ...........myself never heard of the place sounds like i need to own 1 here in Michigan though 68,000 Square Feet of Junk Food & Goods on 19 Acres of Land with 250,000 gallons of fuel, as well as 40 urinals and toilets....this is not your run of the mill 7-11 or Exxon station. for example, you need: Gas? Check. From 84, YES 84, Gas Pumps. Candy? Check. 50ft wall of it. Beer? Check? Domestic & Imports. How about an Icee? Check. 4 self-serve stations. 50 types of beef jersey in a 30ft case? Check. 20 types of sausage? Check. 5 different types of coffee & tea? Check. Freshly cut Brisket sandwich? Check. Side of tasty Pork Ribs? Definitely. Or how about a GoPro camera? Check. Christmas decorations? Check. Iron backyard Fire Pit? Check. Iron Barbecue Grill? Check. Deer Feeder & Corn? Check. And if that isn't enough, you can even grab a pair of Snake Proof Boots...I mean, which other service station in the World can lay claim to that? as always t.c. have a safe ride & have fun cas life is short
+ranscott2005 Haha yeah buckeys is def a place to stop and see at least once. They always have something you need... be it gas, a snack, a meal or gifts or even stuff for your current trip...
+Nelvin 78 Internet trolls... they're like roaches... you can't get rid of them and they're a big nasty pest that no one likes. The harder you try to rid the internet of them, the more that appear... they really are the roaches of the internet.
Have fun dealing with San Antonio drivers haha... we have some of the dumbest drivers I have ever seen anywhere I have lived. I also have to agree with you about the drive between fork stockton and san anny.... very boring with nothing much to look at it. Not a good place to break down that's for sure.
How could it take 3 hours to unload one trailer? One can at a time I guess. How do you have a ruck that sounds like a truck not hissing whine like new truck. Care take young fellow eh.
+Eric Green At least you can through multiple states in the time it takes you to get through Texas' bit of i-10. But I agree Kansas is the worst in terms of most boring not counting length. nothing to look at but corn fields. At least Texas has a number of cities, twists and turns and lots of stupid drivers to watch out for. I have driven various bits of Eastern CO too, not as bad as KS. When they had the 2013 floods I was deployed with the red cross to the Loveland area and was a courier for them... had to drive to sterling and back 7 times in the 3.5 weeks I was there. Boring drive but at least it wasn't straight the WHOLE time. think my count was 4 turns total haha. Haven't been to Nebraska yet so no comment there. I got close though... was trying to find a home just outside of sterling during that time in CO and got about 15-20 miles or so from the Nebraska border and then my hotel in Fort Colins had me about 30 miles from WY border... I should have gone just so I could cross them off my list of states to go to.
Part 1 of “trucker say what” is a classic! ... Say what??? HaHa.. very funny lines
Morning Mr Jack, your cheerful disposition is always a nice way to enjoy a cup of Joe at the start of my day.Drive safe

Good drive Jack. My nephew recently moved to Houston from Midland, Texas. I follow your every gear change from the UK, and count your cups of coffee.
GREAT insight about stops without truck stop parking -I'm going to see if there are any Disneyland types of rides at Buckys -LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!
