You have a magical machine, THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL DEMONSTRATION, I have to purchase one. But I am a little confused, since I am a beginner, should I start with this wonderful machine or should I start with one I saw a day ago which I am sure is much more expensive. I don't know what else I need to buy to start off. You are a great Teacher.
Thank you Mona for your lovely comments. The machine totally depends on you and what you can afford. Manual machines are much cheaper than the electric ones. If you have an opportunity to try some different machines in your local area and see which feels the best for you. There are so many options. If you are fit and healthy the manual machine is perfect for beginners but if you have arthritis in your shoulders then the electric one would be best for you. I hope this information helps
They are a great machine but if your manual die cutting machines are working well then it is a clever idea to keep your money for other crafting goodies😉
Hello I'm new here and wanted to say ,My Husband just gave me the big Gemini, just turned it on yesterday, what a difference from my Big Shot Pluse...Thank you so much for the lovely class and information, I truly appreciate your kindness and encouragement to be successful!! I Hope That You Have a Beautiful Blessed Day!!
My Gemini warped the top plate quite badly the first use. I turned it over and after a few ... very few more uses, the top plate was completely ruined. I bought a new one. Same thing. I made the sandwich as the instructions showed, in fact I talked them together to make sure I didn't mix them up. Then I tried my brand new Magic Mat, warped it so badly I thought it tore the layers apart. I'm so very disappointed in this expensive embossing/cutting machine. It does a great cut but at a high expense to me. So I went back to my Big Kick and Magic Mat, which I love.
@@charlirobinson1548 I'm sorry you have had problems with your Gemini. I love mine. Yes the plates do warp but I just lay them on a baking tray and pour a jug of boiling water over them and then place a chopping board on top with a weight. Wait until the water cools and Hey Presto it is flat again and some of the cuts in the plate are reduced as well.
Yes. It cuts great. My problem with it is how quickly and thoroughly it ruins plates. My first plate warped quite badly the first pass through. I turned it over, and within a few, very few, passes through, the plate looked like an elongated "S"! I ordered another, and I think I've used a couple times. Same situation. I'm so very disappointed. I had wanted the Gemini for a very long time and it wasn't cheap and neither are the plates. Nearly $20 for just one plate. It also nearly ruined my new Magic Mat so now it's just takes up space on my work table. I went back to my Big Kick and Magic Mat, which I love. But I thank you for your card demo's. Very nice. Very pretty! Thank you!!
I'm so sorry this has happened to your plates. I find my plates warp as well but I just place them on a shallow baking tray and pour a jug of water on them then place a chopping board on top and leave until the water cools. This works a treat, I also find it helps if you rotate your plates after each run through
Thank you. I have done all the recommended solutions and none help. The plates warp so badly they aren't salvageable! Unfortunately, been an expensive lesson learned.
Hi Linda. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I think the flower dies I used have been discontinued by Crafters Companion but you could check with them. They are a UK company
Thank you Ida. We were holidaying from Australia in Norway when Covid hit and had to come home early. We were very sad as were were loving the short time we had in Norway and would definitely love to come back
Hello I purchased one of the A4 Gemini machines last year (Australia) I have a very deep mouth and a very thick A plate. It is very cumbersome to use and very noisy as the plates buckle. Also I didn’t get those great dies, I love the filigree edged dies, do you ship to Australia?
Hi Kathy, As Kaszazz has sacked all there consultants I am no longer able to sell anything related to the Gemini. You would need to contact some of the online craft shops. I'm sorry that I can no longer help with regards to the Gemini
Excellent video instructions and your cards are beautiful ! Question: When you showed the embossing of the stencil and the order of plates, you didn't mention what that black mat was. I didn't know if it was the Rubber Mat or the Magnetic Mat. I'm assuming it was the rubber mat but just wanted to be sure. I have the larger Gemini but rarely used it and actually packed it away. I'm really not a fan of it and prefer my Big Shot however I've used it so much that it isn't cutting like it did when I first got it. So......I got my Gemini out and I'm starting to use it again.
Hi Barbara Thank you for your kind words. Yes when embossing with a stencil or embossing plate you use the rubber mat as it has some give in it and allows the card to be embossed. I’m glad you have given your Gemini another go. They are a great machine once you get used to them.
@@AThaisBotelho Well my comment was 4 months ago and since then I got the Gemini JR.. After figuring out the sandwich for the Gemini JR I must say I love it over my Big Shot.
what size paper do you use for your card, they are so nice, i have spellbinder 6 machine but i fell twice and can't use it because i can't use my arm to use the handle so the gemini would be better for me, because it will run through just punching a button would like to know how i can get some information about buying one . also i would like to know if i could use my spellbinders dies with the gemini machine i have a lot of dies by spellbinder, also is it easy to get the plastic plates when they warp, michael's or hobby lobby do not have the supplies, they do sell the dies, i have been trying to get in touch with spellbinder but no answer, i did get the plastic plates from amazon, i don't want to buy something that i can't get the supplies for it please let me know. thanks joan
Hi Joan the white card bases I use are 21cm x 14.8cm. As far as I am aware spellbinder dies would work in the Gemini. Where to you live Joan?? If you in Australia you can order a Gemini through my Kaszazz webstore. www.kaszazz.com/cart/?consid=107432 We also sell extra plates if you need them. For warped plates I just pop them in a shallow baking tray and poor a jug of boiling water over them. I find this works really well. I hope this answers your questions. I am always here if you have any more questions or you would like more details
Sorry Dolores. I no longer sell or demonstrate with Gemini. But what I have demonstrated with the Gemini would basically be the same with the junior - just on a smaller scale
You can get it from Crafter's Companion in the UK. It is called an Extra Strong Glue Tape Pen (dots) Je kunt het krijgen van Crafter's Companion in het VK. Het wordt een extra sterke lijmtape-pen (stippen) genoemd
@@createwithlucy4463 yes, it doesn't go as loud as I would like, but I was really struggling to hear. Especially when you were standing up. I usually can hear some.
