- Coolest thing to do in Nashville?? ... visit AN INDOOR JUNGLE at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.
Today is the last day of our road trip and we decided to hit up one free Nashville attraction before leaving Nashville and coming home - the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. Home to 9 acres of indoor gardens and waterfalls galore this resort is completely free and open to the public! This was one of the highlights of our trip and the coolest, cheapest, and free-est thing we found in Nashville!

You guys are so underrated. I truly believe that you guys will be huge here on UA-cam. Easily one of the best channels hands down. Can really tell how much work you guys put on these videos. The pacing, cuts, and even stick figure Ruth and Thomas taking us around. Please keep the stick figures for future episodes!!!

UA-cam is so much work and it sometimes feels like a lot of work for nothing, but the encouragement can make it all feel worth it - especially from other creators. Had no idea this was in Nashville. The Cascades might be our favorite. The indoor waterfall. Wow!

We stayed at the Opryland resort and believe me you should have stayed there. Can you imagine that all of that is indoors. It is so awesome and so very glad you showed it. You brought back some great memories for us. You actually missed some so plan to go back one day and see it all. We definitely will as well.
Oh cool!! Yeah, we had never been before and we really wanted to spend more time exploring. Unfortunately we had a 6 hour drive home ahead of us and weren’t able to spend more than a couple hours there.. but we really want to go back some time. It’s such a unique place! When were y’all there last??

Definitely do the free parking if you ever go there! It wasn’t a long walk at all and $32 just seems quite steep 😬😬

The pizza looks great.
It was way more reasonable and tasty than we were expecting - especially since it was resort food. I think we were expecting really over priced cafeteria food and it was actually really tasty and fun!
This place is absolutely amazing. Not once have I ever seen this advertised anywhere ever.
IT WAS AWESOME. Yeah, we didn't know much about it, but some of our friends recommended it to us. We couldn't believe that we were able to just stroll around for free. I think every city needs a massive indoor jungle like this!

Wow! What a cool place in Nashville! Love the first parking hack already because we are all about it!! Free DISNEY!?!? You can't go wrong with that! Love the river flowing through and so cool you can go on a boat ride there. OMGGGG love the cute map of you guys running around the resort HAHA. We are all about the bloopies! HAHA feels so familiar! This is us all the time. That pizza looked so huge and you could probably share it!
Free parking is where it's at! 😂 We really could have spent so much more time there, if we had the time we would have loved to just sit and do some work while looking at the waterfalls. But alas, we had to drive home! Hahaha the stick figures were experimental, but we might have to keep them around 😂😂
This is one of the coolest resorts, love the jungles.🐸
We were not expecting it to be that cool, but we could have spent hours there! Such a fun place to hang out at.. If we had something like that close by we would probably be there every night haha

I so wish our family would have known about this place when we went. This is some place my family would spend all day at. Love discovering new places through other creators. I don’t blame Ruth, I would like to live here also, we could be neighbors. I know you guys don’t have kids because you haven’t heard of Descendants. Addison loved that movie.
😳 you guys would have LOVED this place! It was massive and there was so much to see. We probably could have spent all day there as well, but we had to still drive all the way back home. We could be neighbors! Maybe when we’re all super successful billionaires we can just buy the Opryland Resort and wave at each other from our penthouse suites 😂😂

Wowwww I would love to visit that place!! Can't believe this place is free to enter! I'd love to do a riverboat tour.. The conservatory skywalk is gorgeou!! Loving this place! What a way to end your trip...
It still impresses us that it was free! I mean, you still had to pay for the river tour, food, and all the other little stores and spas - but you could walk around and watch the shows completely for free! It was honestly one of the highlights of the trip .. and we were both really tired so that's saying something hahaha

Free Disney wold yessss! My daughter loves that movie. What a beautiful resort with the gardens
We had never seen it and unfortunately didn't have time to sit and watch it all the way through, but apparently it got a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes - so it sounds like it's pretty good! AND I KNOW. We both love how Disney feels like you're in a completely different location and how committed they are to transporting you - and it really felt like they do the same thing at this resort. And we didn't check it out, but there are also waterparks, spas, free shows, and other things! If ever you're in the area you should take a minute to walk-through - have y'all been to Nashville before??

I’ve stayed in the Gaylord close to Dallas. The Nashville one is definitely more elaborate!

Wait...a hotel with its own river. And it's not in Vegas or Dubai?
Cities like our hometown of Milwaukee need to do this. Especially when it's -20. (Though downtown skywalk systems can do similar with their own individual buildings and offerings.)

So many cities should do something like this! If it was closer to us we would visit all the time. Malls around the US are dying, but if they just put rivers and gardens in all the malls suddenly people would start going back haha ESPECIALLY in the winter. People would love an opportunity to go to an indoor, warm, tropical rainforest with food and WiFi in the middle of winter. Who knows, maybe we’ll both become multi-billionaires off of this UA-cam thing and team up to put indoor jungles around the world.. you in?!

It was SO COOL. We actually tried to film a little up there to show people around, but they said we had to clear it with their higher ups and we just didn't have enough time to stick around. But we would LOVE to go back - it is a unique space!
@@RuthandThomas The bus is cool. Did you meet the hotel dog, Sasha? She liked hanging around in the lobby - and she's now retired with a forever home. We have a new dog named, Hairy - very cute and learning the hotel at this time.
No! That's so cool! How on Earth did we miss the hotel dog?? We would have loved to have met either of those dogs!
You ended your trip on a high note ;) There is a lot to see and easy to get lost in there. A side note, there was Opryland USA amusement park, closed in 1997. On my visit in the mid 2000’s there were a few remnants in the Gaylord parking lot.
😂 we sure did! And cool! We didn’t know that it used to be an amusement park, but there are certainly A LOT of amusing things to do in the area. We didn’t even check it out, but they apparently have a full blown water park as well!
@@RuthandThomas I visited Nashville Shores on that trip. A fun, smaller waterpark with a little bit for everyone. They've added a slide complex and lake attractions since my visit.

Hahaha yeah, the burp really would have made the intro better 😂.. and the pizza really was delicious!! We went on a riverboat tour in Mexico for our honeymoon, but I don’t think we’ve been on one since. I want to do it again sometime tho, they’re so relaxing and fun haha

I KNOW. I can't imagine what it would be like to actually stay there - they have water parks, spas, daily theater shows, and boat rides -- insane. Y'all should check it out if ever you're in Nashville!
