Even though I didn’t get the Rhodes Scholarship and only got through the first two rounds, applying for this scholarship literally changed my life. Through applying, I:
1. Learned to open my mind to think I can achieve MORE and BIGGER than I ever thought was possible.
2. Learned to believe in myself and back myself.
3. Developed closer connections to those around me.
4. And I FAILED FORWARD - as in though I didn’t get the scholarship, I got heaps of other amazing opportunities through applying.
So even if you don’t fulfil all the requirements (which I’m not even sure if I did!) you should DEFINITELY go for it. You literally have nothing to lose and everything to gain, and there’s not shame in applying and failing! The only losers are those who do not try ;)
