I hate saying it, we all do. Rooster Teeth was a big part of my life. They gave me a lot, and I just wanted to say thanks. That's what this is. Goodbye Rooster Teeth.
I say this with all genuine sincerity. I would not be alive if not for roosterteeth and achievement hunter. For the first time in my life when I found them I felt like I found friends, video games were my safe haven but I was too autistic and socially awkward to talk to anyone. So finding them was like finding friends that I could relate with and were doing all these amazing things my 12 year old head could only dream of. I finally found a home. I fell off over the years and I lost my fire that I once had. And if you’re still reading this comment thank you, and I promise I’ll make something, I don’t know what, but something that can give the kids and adults of today that are like me something, a place to belong.
10/10 clip choices. I haven't been an active RT watcher in a long time, but I recognized like 90% of the stuff here from the "golden era." Awesome walk down memory lane
So many great memories from rooster teeth, things like achievement hunter and let’s play fueled my early UA-cam content grinds🥲 thanks for all the smiles, laughs, and yes tears❤️
I can’t wait to show this to my husband so he can cry just as hard as me. I grew up watching achievement hunter and he grew up watching RvB so when we got together it was like two sides of the coin meeting. It’s silly to think about how much these people have been apart of my life through good and bad. I’m excited to see what all of them do next :)
I was never super into them but I have to give them mega props for staying in Austin for the entire lifespan of the channel. Real hometown success story.
I still remember watching RVB in 4th grade when I was supposed to be doing hw. Now I'm in my junior year in university watching goodbye tributes to RT when I'm still supposed to be doing hw God damn. I really have been watching RT stuff for so long
I just don't wanna watch or having anything to do with Warner now and it's hard cause all they have but after losing something that means so much to everyone cause they are corporate ass hats that doesn't see when they have something good we will miss you rooster teeth you maybe going away but the communities you have made and the lives you have touched will always be here to support you!!
The early Lets Play videos were amazing and always kept me coming back but ever since Ray left and constant allegations kept coming out I just couldn’t bear with the company any longer, good luck to everyone in finding a new path.
My heart pangs when the clip of Ray high fiving at the con…. Why is it that we can feel so attached to people we’ve never met? Thanks for everything, guys. Nothing will ever be the same.
I'm not a huge fan of how big we as a society are into parasocial relationships these days, but these people really did feel like my childhood friends. That's why it hurts so bad to see it end, even if the company looks very different from 20 years ago.
I appreciate the use of modern clips as well as old. It would be easy to just think fondly of the good ole days, but it's important to remember that great stuff was still being made up until shutdown. The artists and creators should be recognized for their work. (Long live F**kface)
Thanks fellow regulation listener! I wanted to represent as much of the timeline as I could, but at the same time I didn’t want to include things I hadn’t watched anything of, because I was very particular about the clips I included based on their meaning, and I wouldn’t have been able to do that with the content I never watched. Not at all a knock on said content, I just felt like it wouldn’t have been genuine on my part.
this was a way better farewell than the stream all the random people I dont know did for the final stream. Rooster Teeth lost what kept the fans and what we grew up with and wasnt even the same as far back as 2017. This was a really good tribute to the times that it was about the content and fun to watch.
But lets be real, even if they were able to have kept all the same cast and kept doing the same thing every day, you still would've eventually stopped watching, along with most people. That's because people grow up and their interests change and despite cheesecake being the best thing on this earth, you can't just eat it every day and still like it after the 3000th day of cheesecake. In the end, they did this for 21 years. That's an accomplishment compared to 99.999% of all other popular online creators and it's silly to imagine most people continuing to watch the same thing for that long especially with how often they'd put out content. Like sure, The Simpsons have went on for way longer. But they've also only put out like 700 something episodes. Roosterteeth probably passed that in Minecraft videos, alone
@@ShaneTheBane yeah dont speak for me. I still go back and re watch all of red vs. blue, among other things. It's impressive, but dont for one minute act like the decline didn't start when "new" talent started taking over. The original group broke up over the years and that was the core of rooster teeth. Look at G4 tv as a prime example. Please again refrain for speaking on others behalf because you feel a certain way. Thanks have a blessed day.
I'll continue to speak for you because you continue to prove my point and continue to not be honest with yourself lol. "Going back and rewatching" old stuff probably a couple times a year isn't the type of engagement they need from old viewers to stay afloat and it's a far cry from the usual meaning of watching someone's content, so my claim still remains true. And while yes, I'm sure losing fan favorite members did not help them, it wouldn't be enough to sink the ship. Ray was and still is one of the most missed members, and when he left, people back then were saying this would be the downfall. Yet RT continued and most of the highest viewed let's play and AH videos came years after Ray's departure. No, the truth is there is just more competition for your screen than there ever has been, especially after COVID. Objectively speaking, good competition will always lower the popularity of its competitors. Most online creators wouldn't really have an issue with this but also most (nearly all) don't have the overhead RT had. And for old viewers, more of life becomes a competition for your time as you grow older, that's just another objective fact. And as you grow older, you might find yourself going back to watch or experience old things for nostalgia reasons, and maybe not even touch the new stuff, even if there are some things there as good as the old stuff, but that's not really the stuff you grew up on, now is it? So it doesn't have the same nostalgic feel and you don't really have the time to give to this "new but actually very old" thing. If you're going to give your time to something new, you want it to feel new too, and RT feels old because it is old. Also, to your original comment about "all the random people" you didn't know. Most of those people were production. People behind the scenes that could've been there 10 years ago and you still didn't know them back then either because they were *behind the scenes*. You probably would've known that if you actually listened to the stream instead of being tunnel visioned on "whomegalul are these people" or didn't skip around a whole bunch (it was a long stream though so I get that, but I don't get commenting on something if you didn't actually watch it). That stream was to show appreciation for everyone that worked there, not just the popular personalities.
@@ShaneTheBane that's a stretch for me "proving your point" good content is just that good content. If it was there regardless of covid lol it wouldn't be an issue. Most of those faces aren't the face of rooster teeth so it felt empty and lacking. Not to mentioned they dogged on comments of fans in the first 30 min so ba I'm good. In a way people.had been right about that when Ray left then. The financial backing it had and still couldn't put up content that was remotely relatable and keep the audience engaged is an even worse example. Especially when people with a 16th of the budget rooster teeth had get more interaction than them. All in all you can stop speaking for me because again you are wrong. Don't worry about a reply to your next comment because....it will be as present as Rooster Teeth is. 😘
The last RT Podcast, Armando laid it all out how good content fought and lost the battle to be made and how the company was its worst enemy in the end. I never watched that podcast crew, but he seems like a sharp cookie. (edit: I stopped watching when Burnie left)
I am not even sad, I knew this day was coming. Over the last 10 years RT just went to crap with the controversies that they've had and there viewership number plummeting, RT killed themselves in the end. I'll just happily remember the first 10 years of RT because those were the best years ever.

We sure had a wild run, didn't we?
Even though it had started before me, Rooster Teeth ended up being my life when I came around to it. Such a memorable thing of this generation.
Thanks for this, friend. Some choice clips, I can tell you thought a lot about what to include.

Now that we've come so far, how can we start again? Memories will lead us back, instead we'll just pretend.
❤️💙
"don't say goodbye, Ihate goodbyes"
Since hearing about the shutdown I think this is the first time I nearly cried. Thanks boss that was a damn good video.
I just posted my own goodbye. This was fantastic, great choice of clips and voices.
Great job on the video, that company meant so much to so many of us. You did it justice.
Forever love to roster teeth I Will care the dream we all will
This gives me those early AMV and Clip edit vibes, right back to the 2010's good job rip

Good people
Thank you RT 😔💔

amazing clip choices :( its crazy to think its all over
Great Short Memorial! We'll miss them. I grew up with RvB as I'm a 90s kid and now I'm happy to see them finally rest. Great Stuff.
What a journey indeed

Well done gonna miss funhaus the most but roster teeth created so much great stuff. I just wish the chicken could have kept running without its head
Beautiful job man 👏❤
Great job on this video.

You forgot to leave out Rayan Haywood
No I left him out. I have content he was in but I edited around him.
@@zedja71nevermind, it was someone else who for a quick second looked like him but was not, my bad😅
