Hi David. I went to Lowes (IL) the other day and bought a scindapsus moonlight. When I picked it up I got wet. I took it out of the cash pot and there was 3 inches of water in it not to mention I held the plant up for several minutes while the water drain. I only wish that stores had plant specialists to water these plants. I bet if I go back today most would be dead. Thanks for all the hard work you are doing to bring us great content. Have a great day.
I bought a table top Norfolk pine 3 yrs ago and decided to try to keep it. It has been my second Christmas tree every year since. Once it becomes a 5’er it will be my only Christmas tree for the season. The rest of the year my air plants live in it. Good idea right??
You put the trees in the ground..lol. I'm thinking about getting one this year for my Christmas tree and planting it in my back yard this spring. They tolerate our cold here in Texas very well.
I almost bought an alocasia Polly at Lowed today, but realized it had spider mites 😳, I needed up getting 2 clearance plants to bring back to life instead- HUGE Hoyas for $10!
When I first got into house plants the staghorn fern was very expensive, I kind thought to myself I would probably never own one, but of course I have one now and love it, so I try to tell myself every time I see a plant that’s over $100.00 to wait they will eventually drop in price, and in most cases they do 😊
8:45 this one is easy for me. I have 2 and they are so rewarding, they have a look of there own that I just love. One of them I got and chopped it a couple years back because I had herd it was hard to take care of, I water mine 1 time a month. And I put them outside in the spring and summer months. They just took off after being outside. And i didn’t water them faithfully. I’m in Missouri, I know Texas is much hotter so I’m sure you wouldn’t want to miss a watering if you get one and put it outside in the spring and summer ✌️💚
Hey Friend 😊 They are called a Norfolk Island pine, I believe native to California and some islands that way, they are actually a tropical plant, they like lots of water and humidity 💚
16:18 Norfolk Island pine, Yes it is actually a house plant in many places just do the above comment I talked about the care. It’s an amazing house plant, very popular in the 70’s
Thanks for taking us on your late night plant shopping, David. ❤️🌿❤️🌿🥰
I'm so jealous of the selections you have at your big box stores. Such beautiful plants💚

Oh and they grow about an inch a year so you could start off with a smaller one and it will get big in no time
