I also like the work Samsung did with TouchWiz. If you don't like the control these companies establish, use a custom rom that also uses the TouchWiz interface. I currently use Jedi Master's rom. They wiped out all the bloatware.
I use a Mac, and I'm an Android developer and designer. Mac OS X is a nice compromise between Linux (great Unix-like backend and command line, lacks decent design tools) and Windows (Adobe suite for design, terrible command line). Mac OS X gives me a Unix tool-chain and the Adobe Creative Suite.
I hate vendors messing up android - Samsung - just leave the default android alone! - my app looks like crap on the most top selling android phones now - thanks! - I always install a custom rom which returns to the default theme - but 90% on normal users won't know how to do this, or neither care. - Thats why I love nexus devices so much.

Could anybody tell me or show me a direction how to import these designs downloaded into the eclipse IDE?
