This is my personal favorite SNES basketball game!

Going over to your friends house, playing basketball all day in the backyard or front…..drinking water from the water hose then going inside the house with respect for their moms and pops, play NBA LIVE 95 on sega or snes for a few hours while their moms or pops fix ALL THE KIDS something to eat before you go back home before dark. Golden years golden generation….just brought tears of joy to my eyes! Thanks for the memories

All we had was the bulls vs blazers/Lakers series, NBA showdown(?)... This had all the teams with real players! Man I remember taking 2 buses to get this! Good memories, tbh 96 was even better with created players

I remember renting this from Blockbuster for Sega Genesis.

The Blockbusters in my country ran an NBA Live 95 tournament. Every location had it set up for a single player game, most points wins. The highest scorer in each State would then play a final tournament to crown the national Champ. I figured out that fouls had been switched off, so I'd push people over, steal the ball, and score non-stop. I won my local, but missed the State title by one point. I still picked up a free copy of the game out of it.

NBA live 95 on super nintendo was to fun
I saved up enough money to get this game, and REFUSED to rent it beforehand, because I wanted my first experience playing it to be after opening the box for the first time. This has all the nostalgia
THIS, at one point, was my ALL-TIME FAVORITE NBA game.
This definitely brings back memories. Not just 4 gaming but the memories of how great growing up in the 90's were. I still play this game along other genesis games. I kept my old systems so my my children could get the chance to experience the systems I grew up playing.
Besides the graphics and a few movements it seems like these games were better gameplay and fun than all the new stuff 😂
100%! Its still the only B-Ball game, which mastered the drive realistically. Pace was perfect. Not online, no in-game buys, 2 players. Smooth and easy! When my boys switch on their xbox nowadays, I get aggressive instantly (oh, another 60GB update 🥹)…

Wow, that i am 46 years and remember myself and four friends would play this game for hours! My favorite team was Indiana Pacers wit Reggie Miller on that three point line, i would kill NYK in the playoff! Fun time back in the 90s, true nostalgic, and thank u for awesome memories!

MJ, Magic, Bird, Isaiah, Kareem, Wilt and other greats were secretly hidden on this game.
All you had to do was go to create a player and type in their last name and they would pop up……with stats and everything.

The dunk & layup animations are legit better than NBA ELITE 09 or whatever that trash was. Even the net animation looks better.
I remember pretending to be sick so I could stay home from school and play this game all day.

I remember as a kid turning the fouls off and just cracking myself up running around pushing the computer players into the stands.
Golden State or the Magic were my go-to squads,.Shaq an Penny or Sprewell an Tim Hardaway.......we still talk about it till this day but Sprewell jumped from the freethrow line if you did it right lol I only did it once but there were 9 of us watching an amazed 😂
Sprewell was damn near Jordan in this game.

The layup and dunk animations were amazing in this game. Plus hearing that “THREE!” in clutch situations was everything. Best NBA game I ever played.

So many memories. This one along with Fast Break , NBA Playoffs and TV Sports Basketball were the games you should play if you were a basketball fan.

NBA Live 2003, NBA 2k5 & NBA 2K11 are my top 3. I only had NBA Jam before I got NBA Shootout 98 on PS. I also loved NBA in the Zone 99.

2k11 was great, but I liked 2k10 better. 2k16 has my vote for the greatest NBA game ever. Live 95 is somewhere around 5th or 6th place.
My teenage head exploded when the cutting CPU player automatically went in for a layup after getting a pass. Total gem of a game.
The Bulls were my favorite team and Pippen was my favorite player.
Yeah I’m from Chicago so of course the Bulls are my team. I haven’t played this in forever. It just sucks I lost! Lol

Wow!!! Lol, I remember renting this game or maybe it was an earlier version, from Blockbuster Videos. I remember being the most advanced game I've ever seen and played! Had a lot of fun playing this. Then fast forward to 2024 and now playing NBA 2K24. What a difference.

Madden 93, NHL 94 and NBA Live 95 were my go to Genesis sports games back in the day with honorable mention to Arnold Palmer Golf. Still have all of them.

I remember when every video store or Walmart, Kmart, etc had a console set up and if you were lucky you could try out games like these before putting them on your Christmas list 🤣🤣❤️💯😁😁🎮 great times growing up in the 90s.

Loved this game! I remember it was such a big leap from the previous game, NBA Showdown. It does have its quirks tho like stats counts are sometimes incorrect, as shown in 3:23 where the Bulls have two assists but only got one made basket 😂.
EA did its thing from Lakers vs Celtics, to the NBA Live series and beyond. every year, truly getting better and better.

A true classic EA gem right here. I remember going over to my grandmother's friend house early mornings on the weekend and we ball out on this. Got my own copy and played hours on end. That turbo running shot from three was unstoppable. Good times...

I used to beg my mom to rent Live 95 from HEB back in the day. I'd get it for a couple days and do nothing but play this game until it was time to return it.
It was so much better than any previous NBA game in my opinion. Good times 😍
I had the PC version of this game back then and even updated the rosters over the yrs by looking at the lineups on the newspaper. Of course I couldn't get the new rookies but updated the best I could with the current players at the time. I got very familiar with the players of that era. Great game!
Man we’d dunk on each other and talk crazy for HOURS……….the alley oop was everything!!! I swear this was the best series of video game hoops, 2K was absolutely blessed when NBA Live fell off. Even when 2K started out and was half the price, it couldn’t hold a candle to NBA Live. Believe or not, I still wait for the day when EA gets it together and brings Live back.

Most people didn't know you could create legends in the game. Like you could type "Jordan" or "Jabbar" in the last name spot and it would actually turn into the player.

Absolutely loved this game. The new angle was pretty remarkable at the time.
There was a glitch on this game where you were able to drain every three from one spot of the floor.... No matter whet mode you played on.

The Sega Version of LIVE 95 WAS NEXT LEVEL, use to use the kings, no fatigue, mitch Richmond was a beast.
It’s funny how so involved the mechanics and controls are on contemporary nba video games. Then you have this and it all looks like chance. You’re at the mercy of the whether or not when you tap that button if the CPU wants you to successfully complete that move 😂

Scrolling through and saw the live 95 thumbnail and got an instant flashback to 5th grade.
I ayed this when I was around 10 years old. Today I have 3 boys and I have introduced them to games like this. My oldest who is 12 said dad I like these games. Its actually a challenge to beat this game and it's more fun than the games we have now. They rather rather play Madden 94 than play Madden 24.

Hold "A" and press "Start" and everyone would freeze except the player with the ball and you could basically practice by yourself and it even showed a shot percentage on every shot you would take
