If you put all your bitcrushers in series, do you get truly random digital noise, or pseudo-random, or silence, tweety birds, or echo-location clicks, or what? I know what it sounds like, when you put a few pedals, with clock noise, in a row. (It sounds like you need some notch filters or a noise gate.) But I don't have the means to try it with bitcrushers. I assume the results would maybe depend on what other fx are attached to the bit crushing, and therefore what order you put them in. It probably would sound like a modem, or worse, some digital screeching, like when you first wake up the rusty metal owl after centuries of its slumber. That's what the oracle failed to mention - the first minute or so after it wakes up, you'll want to have earplugs.
Polarbear Drowner also has great reverb into crush (or vice-versa)... but my vote for simple-but-perfect bitcrush sounds is Beautiful Noise Effects Endless Sleeper
It’s so freaking cool how you make little beats for the demonstrations. They’re more than just playing a few notes, we really get a taste of what sounds are possible. Amazing
Those poor bits, what did they ever do to deserve this?
Are you telling me a pedal crushed these bits?
Not me creating a whole new playlist to save this video for future reference.
Its like they're all out of Stray. The cat game.
And here we all are, learning more about effects petals from a harpist than we ever have from a guitarist... this world can be silly.
That 'Red Panda' sounded really neat.
These Melodies are so intense! I can see all of them becoming full songs. They feel so full of “feeling”. I would listen to all of them all the time!
The sound coming from the first pedal reminds me so much of the Fez soundtrack. Which is really good btw.
The 1st one reminds me of 2 things; The gameboy startup sound and the old employee training videos.
The red panda bitmap song scratched my brain in the right place
I was as interested in the evolution of the hair as I was the pedals!
Hi Emily I really enjoy your playing and love your use of effects and your vibe. Peace!
I love this vids bc I’m the opposite kind of musician. Pedals and effects intimidate me, and seeing you comfortable with them is mesmerizing.
I don't know shit about music or electronics, but your enthusiasm is infectious.

Ooo I'm starting to recognize pedals now! The last one is incredible! though the red panda is pretty sick too!
I like that pedal with the arpeggiator in the tail.
