While the dark blue is beautiful, I think it would make the stairway dark. I’m with Carol in the white & gold wallpaper.

Hahaha the blue, although dark for a hallway, is balanced with sooooo much gold around the door. The white is definitely lighter but pales next to the door frame making the hall all about the door.
100% white with gold for two reasons .Number 1 is that you already have 8 rolls of it so therefore it would be good to use it. Number 2 I agree with Carol when she said she had spent so much time taking down dark wallpaper why would you put it back up. Having a nice clean bright hallway makes the home more inviting. Anyway what ever Carol does it will be golden ,

Love the blue, but I think it would look better in a room with white accents. The lighter print with gold would look better with the gold, and keep the stairwell lighter looking.

Lighter wallpaper much more ELEGANT and Chateau-ish - whereas the blue could be in any IKEA decorated home in the UK. Definitely go with the lighter paper.

I like both, but since choosing I think the blue keeps with the blue theme in the corridor downstairs. The white and gold reminds me of the grand salon. A bit too delicate for an entrance/parlier. It might limit the options for the room/s behind. Looking forward seeing the moulds on the door… it will be astonishing as everything so far 😍😍
All the wallpapers are lovely, but my favorites were the third one and the fifth one because they both had more than one color. I don't think the one with the birds is too "bedroomy", and I think it's a way of tying in the blue in the entry hall to the stairwell, which is visible from the entry hall. Just my two cents, and I know whatever Carole chooses will look wonderful.

I vote for the gold on white paper. If you like the dark blue, bring that color in with accessories including any pictures you may hang, that could have a dark blue mat. Keeping it more neutral gives you more decorating options.

I'm also with carols choice of the gold cremy wallpaper. I zhink th edakr blue would make the staircase too dark and depressing and would give it an gloomy and eery feeling which would be hard to couteract with just a chandelier no matter the size.

Carole, may I recommend that you take pictures on your phone of things like plans, directions, etc., in case you misplace them or leave them at home. This way, they are always with you. While my favourite is the dark blue, I think I prefer the lighter color for the stairwell. Save the Laura Ashley for an enclosed room. Carole, you have great taste.

Gold paper, as the blue is far too dark and is a cold colour.
Carole, I was taught to coat an item with red paint, before painting with gold. The red makes the gold more of a richer/deeper colour. Had you tried this, before choosing to use the yellow acrylic?

Dark blue all the way! It’s a bright hallway and you can do the dark blue. The white in the blue wallpaper doesn’t make it too dark and definitely makes the gold pop and gives the “Wow”!!!

Blue! 100%. You are choosing, based on the doors, without all the extra "bling".... I think, once that goes on, the blue would really work perfectly. Because compared to the other, that royal blue gives some weight, that matches that big, chunky gold door. The light paper, to me, is far too whispy and I'm afraid it will make the door look a bit clumsy...
