- Hello everyone! This week I sang Your Turn To Roll (the opening to Critical Role) with the always lovely Cami-Cat!
I’ve gone from vocaloid to musicals to memes and now to D&D (I'm sure a couple of you noticed it in my cover of Solider Poet King as well). I get around. Since the plague hit, I’ve found a new fascination with Dungeons and Dragons. It all started with Critical Role and now I’m 2 campaigns deep and DMing another. I’ve really been enjoying myself though and have been working on a lot of cool D&D themed projects! I’m super excited for you folks to have a taste of those.
You know who else is just as cool as me (if not cooler), an amazing performer and ALSO super into D&D? Miss Cami. I love her and can only say good things about her. It’s always such a blast working together, mostly because it’s just me at 3am dming her an idea I have. To be fair though, most of my collaborations work that same way. She’s the best! She also wrote the extended lyrics for this badboy! Amazing!
(we’re also working on a rock ver. of this song too! That’ll be posted on her channel in the next little while)

It took me a good 10 seconds at least, I think, staring at that to figure out what was going on there. But totally agree that he definitely pulls off a crown and should wear one.

Okay, yes, it's very good art, -but these are campaign 2 characters and the show that the song is for has campaign 1 characters. What's up with that?-
This song is the animated opening song for campaign 2, which the characters are from. I’m not quite sure where you’re getting Vox Machina from unless you’re thinking of the upcoming animated series :)
@@JessieMouse123 I first heard the song as the trailer for the animated series. I haven't finished campaign 1 yet, so I haven't heard the campaign 2 intro.
@@FlyingDominion That makes sense! It is in fact primarily a song for campaign 2, but if I remember correctly, the first version of it was used for the preview of the animated series, but it was extended and adapted for the animated intro of campaign 2! :D
Nope! The song (at least lyrically) was first used as a campagin 2 opening, well before any sort of animated series kickstarter was even announced! The bass-heavy music is almost undoubtedly inspired by by the Campaign 1 opening, though!
The actual original song, as written by Sam Riegel and performed by Ashley Johnson, Is only the first verse. As noted in the description, Cami-Cat wrote the second for this cover. The original animation it was set to actually got significantly delayed and altered due to [spoiler] happening on the show, which delayed the unveiling of the song, itself.

Because people in (most) art are often made to look perfect.
When drawing we spend a lot of time making sure everything is symmetrical and proportionate, and I personally only ever tend to draw characters that I personally deem attractive and often appear flawless, or when they do have physical flaws its done so for aesthetic purposes (think scars) or cool story telling. Because its what I enjoy drawing.
Art is a form of story telling and creative outlet. Its not meant to represent real life, not for me anyways and I know its not for a lot of people.
And here’s the thing, real people aren’t perfect or flawless.
So art looks “better” than anyone ever will
But in my honest opinion. Perfection in real life doesn’t exist, and if it did it would be boring. So embrace the way you look, because it makes you you, and it makes you interesting.

On her Discord there's a channel for song requests and someone recently requested it there.
Putting this out there for anyone that wants to use it in their campaign since I just thought of it. A shortbow with multiple strings that doubles as a harp. Any bard that uses it may expend use of their inspiration to generate it as a single shot that deals twice the inspiration dice as damage and use their charisma modifier in place of the dex for the attack and damage.
This song inspired me so much hearing the queens of covers cover it I came up with an item in their honor. I think I'll call it 'A Shot of Inspiration'.
I feel like I am actually in a Lord of the Rings adventure! Traveling on the road with the bards playing this on our quest!
