I genuinely really liked this villain; he’s probably the closest the show has gotten to actually portraying a demon that feels like a proper demon; a being that torments people with their deepest fears and desires, tempting them to either give up or give in. His voice actor did a great performance as well.
And remember that John Waters is also in the child’s play franchise as two different characters (the Paparazzi in Seed of Chucky and The creator of the good guy doll in the Chucky tv series)
Rolando is definitely one of my new favorite Villans from SpindleHorse. It's so good to see them bringing back villains who are just purely and immensely evil for the sake of it and not because they have a tragic/sad backstory. They're evil because they are and want to. Overall, Rolando was a great villain with a good design, humor and personality.
I really do love that Spindle seems to really appreciate campy villains. Just bastards that are bastards. It was seriously such a breath of fresh air when Adam came in, an asshole who is unapologetically an asshole from moment of birth to moment of death, he was one of my favorite things from S1.
When he first showed up I thought "Well, there's a campy horror design looking like a cross between Vincent Price and John Waters". And then I saw the credits and it being John Waters himself playing him.

I have to agree that Rolando is an absolute breath of fresh air when it comes to villains. No tragic backstory, no moral dilemmas. They're like Mammon, irredeemable and evil for the hell of it. They have presence that makes them feel like a legitimate threat. It's so fun to finally see characters like that.
All Hellaverse villains are evil for a sake of being evil (maybe except Striker, Cherubs and DHORKS). And that's what makes them entertaining - they're cool because of how irredeemably evil they're, just like Big Jack Horner.

I like very much the Rolando's design (as a demon), it is animation friendly, his color palette is really good and his VA did it great.
