I remember what al-Fadhil Ustaz Asrie Sobri used to say in his class, in which I agree with, that the Islamic education taught in school is too thin and no 'tarbiyyah imaniy' in it. That was what I felt back in my school years. Forced to do the 5 times prayer and so on with heart felt no connection to Allah and I believe this is the reason why many muslims ended up leaving practising Islam.

setuju sngat...saya selalu jugak layan ustaz asri sobri n the yayasan taalim punya group preacher..bagus utk akidah dan memudahkan kefahaman dlm bragama...

Most importantly what was taught in school is all about 'fear' of Allah instead of focusing on Allah's love, blessings and that HE is the most forgiving and the most merciful..
