My goodness. To think that I grew up watching this pap. The tragedy of the Moro Castle was most likely the result of arson by the sociopathic radio-transmitter officer. The crew bailed on the six lifeboats that were launched leaving everyone else to burn or drown.everything about this tragedy was appalling, not that you’d ever know from this “news” bulletin. And the accent of the narrator - ouch, sharp!

Some parts of providing money for passage still hold true. Inexperienced Captains, crew barely able to pronounce “okay okay.” An indifference to the plight of passengers, any lifeboats full of crew...up to the Costa Concordia where the Captain simply “fell” into a lifeboat similar to Ismay on the Titanic. Some crews and Captains were stellar, of course, but certainly not on Concordia. Hand over a billion dollars for the Captain to keep safe (total costs after wreck.) He’s immature and oblivious to the operation o his ship. Nobody expects a Captain Smith, but someone better than Tugboat Annie is welcomed.
