@@davechangauto no worries bro. I think I learned about them from b is for build. Always good to pass on tips and knowledge. Spoiler looks pretty cool tho. Oh btw, I dunno what air filter you are running, im guessing you plan on going for a snorkel at some point. I just fitted a pipercross dry panel filter, and the sound of it is insane (also airbox silencer delete). Got the exhaust rumble low down, and at higher revs the induction noise kicks in.
I'm installing a lift kit on my 07 x later this week so I can stop scraping over small bumps. Also what part of NC are you in Dave?. I'm in the triangle area so not too many trails.
Glad to hear you fixed the previous issue! There's a good chance it'll rust if any moisture gets to the raw metal. If no bondo, I'd at least pit paint or clear coat on top, that should be good enough! (Hopefully)
Hey Jon! I picked this item directly from a SF generation Forester. I'd recommend looking at your local Pull-a-part/junk yard as they seemed to be pretty common on those (I'm located in Southeastern US)
If its making a horrific noise, open the cap on the reservoir and (while the engine is running) look at the fluid. If its frothy, then you have air in the system. A very common fault is for the O ring on the low pressure side on the pump to fail. Unbolt and disconnect (1 bolt) the low pressure hose from the pump (the one going between the pump and reservoir) and replace the Oring. I used a cheap HNBR oring and it worked, been working for a couple months now. After refitting the oring. Run the engine and cycle the steering from lock to lock a couple of times. Then turn off the engine and let the fluid settle down and air to escape. Then repeat, start car, cycle steering, turn off car, let sit till fluid is clear. After a couple of cycles the power steering will be fine again.
Dont run your power steering with air in the system, it can damage the pump. Also, if the fluid isnt foamy, or showing air bubbles when the car is running, then thats not the problem, and its something else.
about to try this, but with the sti style spoiler with the brake light, gonna splice it into my existing third brake light
Nice install.
Thank you!
Nice work bro ...thanks for the nice idea...do you have a link about this spoiler to buy??? Thank you
Hey xrv, sorry for very late reponse
Unfort I don't think Subaru sells em anymore. I found mine at a junkyard, haha!
damn I tried installing the same one on my 06 fozzy but failed lol gotta try again
I have to do this to my forester! 😮
Yup! After doing it, I definitely think it's the best "spoiler" for a off-road look
Sick!!!
You can also use rubber well nuts instead of rivnuts. Theres no risk of the nut spinning and the spoiler being stuck forever that way.
Thanks for the heads up! I immediately looked more into this and looks like a great alternative!

Question, what should I do to fix my problem, I drilled the holes but came out bit lop sided. don't want to bondo. or should i?

Can you provide the link for the spoiler I can’t seem to locate myself TIA
how much lift did you do and what size tires are you running?
Why can't I find that thing anywhere? Any help?

@@davechangauto Appreciate that. My lazy ass figured they'd be online somewhere, but not really.
Help with my power steering pump is not telking oil
Hey MAiSH!
Thanks for reaching out - can you explain what's happening exactly with your power steering pump? Is it leaking oil?
Telking?
