My one bit of advice as someone who has been watching AMVs forba very long time, is to get away from the edits mindset of just cool clips and try and tell a story with your music and visuals. I know the trend right now is cool clips but its just that, a trend. If you look at the other successful AMV makers you'll see a strong theme and narrative in their works. You seem to have a good eye so i think you could really make some cool stuff.
