Lex i’m not Egyptologist. I’m a mechanical electrical designer with a structural background. You may want to talk to me about these places and Graham. Well he’s got the star alignment he doesn’t know why. Hit me up we’ll chat. I’ve read the text so I understand the texts, which texts? the Egyptian books of the dead Pyramids and such it’s interesting how much engineering is tied up in those texts. But you have to have a certain set of skills in order to understand the texts. I’ve got most of the right combination of the skills required to read the text me, we’ll see if we can get some of the stuff cleared up. Prepare your mind to be blown several times as mine was. The proof is on the Internet and it’s been verified by professionals. No one’s taking the time to put it together to understand everything as a system. Clean underwear required.
Genesis 11:5 “Yahweh, come down, to see the city’s brought down lifted up tower, which sons of men builded me (Lucifer, Satan, Allah speaking here in pride).” Genesis 11:6 “Yahweh utters, “Behold the one people, all the same language, and here are they begun to make accomplished, and yeah nothing which they purpose to make accomplished is inaccessible unto them.”” Book of Job explains why LEO, Pleiades (the woman), Orion (loosing the belt for Pleiades) looking to "yada" the woman (sex), and Halloween all complete the picture. The Egyptian builders were indeed pointing to the day. Wait till you see it. Halloween is coming soon.

I remember all this from the 80's. The tenacity of this man (and those he honored) should be praised. It always has been and still is based on sound reasoning and deductive methods that simply cannot be ignored. I am honestly shocked at the amount of harassment endured and yet still, deliberate ignorance prevails. I know Graham probably won't see this, but I for one am grateful to him for a lifetime of seeking truth, literally globe-trotting to do so, and sticking to what you believe in.

One of the things I've never understood about the Pyramids is given that culture/civilisation documented many mundane things at the time, they didn't bother documenting building one of the great wonders of the world.
Herodotus (II:125) talks about it. But Herodotus also states that human kings have ruled Egypt for 11340 (II:142) years. And that Egyptians recorded their history back 17000 years( II:43).
Egyptians don't like to accept the idea that the pyramids were just discovered by the Egyptians and not built by them. Their has never been mummy found in any pyramid. Nothing about them indicates they were built as tombs.
You'd be surprised. There was a volcano that exploded and leveled several ancient Greek cities, and as far as we know it's only mentioned once in passing in a mundane letter. The Romans wrote a lot about the Huns, understandable since the Huns destroyed their empire, but not once did they ever write down what a Hun is, to this day we don't really know where they came from. Maybe they thought these things were too obvious to waste ink on?

If I could time travel to any point in human history it would definitely be to when the pyramids were constructed I would love to see what the hell was going on back then. I want to see how the hell those tombs of the serapium were built
They where a lot more technologically advanced than us that’s for sure, how everything was constructed is literally inscribed on the walls and tablets, people think it’s art but its instructions, sound, vibrations, magnets, put a stone on a medal plate and vibrate it, watch it move by itself almost effortlessly, they also had anti gravity technology with the use of magnets, it’s considered a conspiracy though, mainly cause the elite don’t want you to know how they did it cause it’s advanced technology they want hidden from the masses, the pyramids are destroyed for a reason, the subject is a rabbit hole.
If you could time travel you'd be able to jump back to the beginning of construction then skip the boring bits by time jumping through until it was finished.
Same with the actual pyramids themselves. Apparently they were flat and white and reflected the sun for miles. They’ve been picked apart over the years to resemble what they are now.
There are a number of theories regarding the Sphinx. One is that the Sphinx is actually a god named Tutu. He was there to protect the 'sleeping' (i.e. those within the pyramids) from danger or bad dreams. Another theory is that there are (were) two 'Sphinxes'; one facing where the sun rises and another where the sun sets. These could have been monuments to the gods Maahes and Sekhmet but no one will ever know for sure.
Hancock makes no mention of the fact that the pyramids and Sphinx are only what we see on the surface of Giza. The platform itself has been terraformed. And it's built over more ancient structures, possibly a megastructure of a labyrinth as well as a complicated tunnel system with large rooms or chambers. This is what the surface structures might memorialize. And the Sphinx may also be staring at something else in the West. The supposed home of the Gods in the before time they called Zep Tepi. There was a star that rose right over this home of the gods which apparently lines up with the gaze of the Sphinx. And the Egyptian name for that star was Merika. Maybe we weren't named for Amerigo Vespucci, after all? Maybe the Egyptian gods were the red-haired giants the native Americans speak of in their legends who supposedly ruled the land during the ice ages? Maybe.
More ancient structures? The pyramids and Sphinx are literally built ON THE BEDROCK! The subterranean chamber of the Great Pyramid goes right down into it - it's basically a man made cave down there. The whole Giza plateau is a big old slab of limestone bedrock, and most of the pyramid + temple stonework was quarried from it. The main body of the Sphinx itself and its enclosure was cut directly out of it.
Because he has somehow carved himself a niche where he talks about outlandish theories. I doubt very much the average fan of his even can name "mainstream" archaeologists.
@@BartvanderHorst Try again. Him and randal carleson based their hypothesis on concrete data collected by carleson (a geologist). You must be one of those guys that demands everyone "trust the science" while blindly believing exactly what hes been told to believe. Thats a good boy.
He is doing his work, and the answer is a tsunami of overwhelming evidence (yes evidence) that Hancock is completely wrong, there was no global high civilization. 12.000 years ago... there is not a shred of evidence anywhere, but if you keep using Hancock as your own source of information, you will stuck to his believes... and make a fool of yourself in the long run.
Very interesting. Yes the ancient writings speak of the primordial mound of Zep Tepi...the first time. Wild to think that may have been the Giza plateau.
Several geologists have compelling evidence against this. The Sphinx sits down the plateau, or more accurately escarpment, at Nile level. The Nile came right up to the Sphinx enclosure and temples. It has even flooded in modern dry times. Rain during the African Humid Period didn't fall solely on the Sphinx. Increased rain fell all over Africa. So much so, there was a third major branch of the Nile, the Yellow Nile. Plus hundreds a contributing wadis. 12,000 years ago, the area of the Sphinx enclosure was under water. This is confirmed by mud core samples taken throughout the Nile River region. What appears as rain erosion is chemical weathering from ground water wicking and changing water table levels. Also, if the erosion of the walls was only from rainfall, where are the plunge pools? If water rain or runoff water caused the vertical creases in the rock, there would also be pools created at the base. Check out World of Antiquity with geologist Robert Schniker.

Just because someone says the pyramids were built 8 thousand years earlier, it doesn't mean Egyptians didn't build them, it just means even more ancient Egyptians built them
@@billysaunders544,answer should be we don't know and we can't prove who were the previous inhabitants of that region before the Egyptians. Iff you can't prove it just leave it.
Isaiah 19:19-20 “In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at its border to the Lord. And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt.” Some interpret this passage to refer to a monument that stands both “in the midst” of Egypt and “at its border,” with theories often suggesting it could relate symbolically to the Great Pyramid of Giza. The Great Pyramid of Giza shows mathematical patterns like the golden ratio, an approximation of pi, a 3:4:5 triangle, and precise alignment with true north, suggesting either advanced knowledge or careful observation by the ancient Egyptians.
This is what I disagree, according to Jewish history, when Abraham and his nephew were roaming around the Egypt and they needed to split Abraham nephew looked at areas of two cities where grass and everything green was booming blooming so they compare it to Egypt and then compare both of those to Garden Eden. So my believe is 2000 years later when the Jesus was alive that green in Egypt did not disappear yet, this was the reason for Jesus to be carpenter, and this is why Romans use wood to crucify criminals instead of using rocks and chain them to the rocks, because there was plenty of wood trees, grass and other stuff. So the desert Sahara and the dry Egypt is more recent event to us
This is all the same shit he's been saying for 6 plus years. I always hope for new information, but leave disappointed. You could just watch his 1st Rogan interview and get a more thorough understanding of what he is saying. He wasn't handicapped by Netflix at that time.
The Sphinx was originally just a rock protruding from the desert floor and was altered into a head by the predynastic Buto-Maadi culture, as seen on the Palette of Narmer. After Narmer united Upper and Lower Egypt and established pharaonic rule the head was altered and the rest of the body was carved out.
I'm a fan of Hancock's. But at 4:45, he suggests that the constellation of Leo (the lion) matches up with (or may relate to) the possible previous leonine head of the Sphinx. Did ancient Egyptians refer to the constellations with zodiacal names like Leo, et al? That seems like a more modern nomenclature, no? Does anyone here know if the Egyptians used those terms for the constellations back then?
He links the constellation of Leo with the sphinx, but Leo came from the Greek astronomy system, not the Egyptian one. The Egyptians grouped some of the stars differently and had different animals.
No, star power was used to create specific animals. The milky way is why we have milk...the crab is why we have crabs. Etc. Look at the globes of the 1600s when the constellations are upon the earth
If Sphinx was facing the constellation of Leo, thousands of years ago, how do we know that ancient egyptians saw that constellation as a Lion at that time? Maybe they saw something else.
Well, I can not recall regarding Leo but in Terms of Taurus we at least have quite a number of traditions (stories, cults) as well as depictions troughout different cultures (e.g. up to the Greeks to Name the latest). Expl. On the oldest Golden coin found there is a depiction of a Bull and a Lion. King Kroisos, todays Turkey, roughly 700 years B.C. Expl.: The Story of Hercules and the Nemean Lion. Expl.: The astronomical constellation of Leo was known and also called like that already about 4.000 B.C. in Babylonian times.
We are told by classical Egyptologists that the dynastic Egyptians but the pyramids to an unbelievable accuracy. Yet for some reason these skilled builders built the sphinx with a tiny head completely out of proportion to its body. Yet they didn’t make this same mistake on any of the other massive monuments they carved. Of course it’s been recarved from an earlier monument. They are just too pig headed to except it.
Leo wasn’t above the Sphinx 12,500 years ago because the night sky was divided into 12 areas and named as the constellations by the Babylonians only 2000 years ago. There was no Leo. The Sphinx is probably the lion headed god Maahes, who was associated with protection.
John Anthony West actually said OLDER. For the Sphinx to represent the Age of Leo, we have two choices - 10,500 BC or the next Processional Cycle which is 36,000 BC. JAW said the problem with 10,500BC is that the whole Earth is in chaos at that time, following the breakup of the Ice Age of 12,000 BC. You don't just build such massive megalithic structures in the midst of such upheaval. 36,000 BC corresponds with the Egyptian Texts themselves, so that's JAW's choice. Ab'del Hakim Awyan, a Wisdom Keeper said even older - 50,000 years or more. His ancestors spoke of coming to Kemet in order to be near Tefnut, already here when they came. Another smoking gun is the severe weathering on the inside of the Red Pyramid of Dashur. The Red Pyramid is built up around these severely weathered rocks, so obviously it's not a one phase construction, but building upon what was already there.
If he Egyptian truly built all of those marvelous buildings, then why did they stop?😂 because they never built any of that stuff . It was there when they came across it
Their society collapsed, hedonistic behaviour destroyed it. There are priests that talks about the fall of their land extensively. It wasn't aliens or anything else.
Okay, this now makes sense. The Sphinx was a lion head. For thousands of years during the green fertile period the water eroded around it. The great flood washed in enough sand to cover it up except the head and thousand years later the Egyptians re-carved the badly damaged lions head. The great flood washed away majority of vegetation across Africa which disrupted the weather patterns creating the desert. I like it!
"Not enough rain to cause that erosion damage on the sphinx" Says who? GH always says this, but he NEVER validates it. He also never explains the repair work done in the southwest corner, that's clearly a water diversion effort from the VERY CLEAR HISTORICAL RAINFALL that caused the erosion in question. At some point GH and Schoch are probably going to want to address that in 10,500 BC, the Nile ran clear over where the Sphinx is located also.
He never validates anything and cherrypicks interpretations, ignoring anything that might counter them. Very unscientific, surprised that Lex has him on at all (though it is entertaining)
Robert Schoch theorized it as he was geologist, Academics claims it to be fringe science. Academics also control Wiki so believe Wiki with a grain of salt. Another issue that makes it a murky water debate is the encloser around the Sphinx also was redone with stone and mudbrick during or around the 18th Dynasty of Egypt making any data given harder to evaluate before the renovation.
@@ExessiveGK Hold on there. By academics, you mean 'other geologists', who mostly disagree with him. Like Robert Schneiker, who puts forward the much more realistic explanation, backed by data, analyzing the geological layering of strata and explaining the low spots for water flow over the Giza plateau actually perfectly explain the erosion in question. I've never once heard GH, or Schoch, or any of the re-dating advocates address this. You just noted that the Sphinx enclosure was renovated in the 18th dynasty, and thus makes it hard to evaluate before the renovation. But despite this renovation of the enclosure, they didn't renovate the water erosion in the sw corner? Why not? Wouldn't it be a far more plausible explanation to say the erosion took place after renovations? And then there's also the other issue I raised. in the year 10,500 BC, the Nile flowed a different path. That path was higher than, and directly over the location of the sphinx. Did this ancient culture ferry out into the nile and carve it? Was it done before that, and if so, why didn't the nile wash the entire thing away?
@@kradoste6268 If it's 13,000 BC, then GH's diatribe about the leo constellation is completely bunk, which he states implicitly relies on the dating of 10,500 BC.
Is it more possible that they looked up and didnt see a bull in a mix of stars but made their own interpretation? A lion in yhe sky in stars looks different to literally anyone else you ask, unless they know what it is "supposed" to be.
The reaction to his documentaries are sort of peer reviews... but hey Hancock can not stand peer review... he calls it some sort of mainstream archeological conspiracy thingy. Which shows Hancock is not a fan of the scientific method... which makes sense because if he did, he wouldn't be rich now.

9 minutes into this interview is where I completely disagree with Hancock because I don't think the 'Dynastic ancient Egyptians' had anything at all to do with building/constructing the pyramids, let alone a meaningful 'restoration' of these massive monuments. Those ancient Egyptions didn't have the skills, know-how or tools to do anything but chissel some meaningless inscriptions here and there, to fool the world into thinking they actually were the makers, and to call them their own, which was a brilliant move btw. They were obviously constructed way way before any loin-cloth wearing 'Dynastic Egyption' ever sat foot in Egypt, at least in mho; the good Egyptions aren't know for building anything worthwhile to this very day, and cultures simply don't evolve in reverse, it just doesn't happen...I also think Hancock is just saying this to keep a door open into the traditional (ignorant) and established hole-digging archaeologists, but what do I know. Cheers

A true journalist would also have the opposing views that Hancock keeps mentioning available to get the full picture. One sided arguments are not how you understand things deeply because you just hear one side! There's a whole field of study called Egyptology that disputes most of this, and whomever is right, the listeners deserve to hear both sides in any discussion.
Graham is an interesting case. He is INCREDIBLY well read, and many archeologist acknowledge that. However, the main issue with Graham is that he has a preconceived conclusion that he is trying to find evidence to fit into, so he stretches ideas and ignores contradicting facts. This is the opposite of the scientific method. Proper archeology/logic means that you update conclusions to fit evidence, not try to fix evidence to prove your conclusions that you already have.
Why? For one...there are some surviving documents pertaining to their construction, and there are images of general construction labor techniques, but just because there is not any surviving does not mean there was never any. They used papyrus. The fact that any papyrus documents have survived is astonishing.
I remember when he complained about a BBC documentary that completely debunked him.. The independent Ombudsman reviewed his 8 complaunts and partially upheld one. As always Hancock spun this as a complete victory Id rather blisten to actual experys than Hancock.
BS! his strongest argument for the sphinx being older than 4,500 years is that at some particular date in the past that he likes the most, it would have roughly looked in direction of the lion constellation, while looking like a lion. I'm so underconvinced the erosion patters on the sphinx are well proven to be due to sand and wind (can be seen via sharp edges, instead of rounded edges you would get from any kind of water erosion) There is conclusive science on that. So basically, like always, Hancock presents no evidence for his claims and bluntly ignores any archeological evidence that proves him wrong.
The excavations carried out in the area considered to be the oldest known cemetery in Anatolia, Turkey (14.000 BC) in Karaman/Pınarbaşı Höyük show that Pınarbaşı people may be the ancestors of the Boncuklu Hoyuk and Catalhoyuk Neolithic human communities. Making them the oldest known communities.

But you have to have a certain set of skills in order to understand the texts. I’ve got most of the right combination of the skills required to read the text me, we’ll see if we can get some of the stuff cleared up. Prepare your mind to be blown several times as mine was.
The library of Alexandria probably had records of it which were destroyed in the fires.
Because they didn't.

I would warn hitler about Stalingrad

Red haired giants = Vikings
More likely Denisovans. Vikings weren't 8 feet tall or more.@@ilexevergreen5405

Exactly, I'm questioning Hancock ideas, they seem absurd.
so when big archeology ask him questions to show some proof of this ancient civilization are they doing a good job or a bad job?
Very interesting. Yes the ancient writings speak of the primordial mound of Zep Tepi...the first time. Wild to think that may have been the Giza plateau.
4:35 there’s a profoundly implicative image.
P.D. Ouspensky wrote in the 1920's that the Sphinx was far older than commonly thought, he based this on impression from just looking at it.

“In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at its border to the Lord. And it will be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt.”
Some interpret this passage to refer to a monument that stands both “in the midst” of Egypt and “at its border,” with theories often suggesting it could relate symbolically to the Great Pyramid of Giza. The Great Pyramid of Giza shows mathematical patterns like the golden ratio, an approximation of pi, a 3:4:5 triangle, and precise alignment with true north, suggesting either advanced knowledge or careful observation by the ancient Egyptians.
Earlier i though Hancock was all bullshit , not anymore, he has a point.
Lol
lol his point is that stupid people are easily fooled by a sexy story
So the desert Sahara and the dry Egypt is more recent event to us
And blah blah blah..there are volumes written about the origin of man prior to any Jewish or Christian nonsense..

Does it matter what they referred to the constellation as? It could be referred to Goat Turd, the constellation would still exist.
He actually elaborates more on this very subject, in this same interview when he talks about the great pyramid at Giza.
@@12time12 it would if it was originally carved as a lion. Anyway, good question that i would like to explore.
Constellation of Orion is drawn on a cave painting 50k years ago
Sahu. Hancock actually names the constellation. Geez!
He links the constellation of Leo with the sphinx, but Leo came from the Greek astronomy system, not the Egyptian one. The Egyptians grouped some of the stars differently and had different animals.
Really? Damn

Yet for some reason these skilled builders built the sphinx with a tiny head completely out of proportion to its body. Yet they didn’t make this same mistake on any of the other massive monuments they carved. Of course it’s been recarved from an earlier monument. They are just too pig headed to except it.
That's not the original head...read a book!
To think we are in 2024 and still we don't have real evidence of how they build al of this
It’s a great shame…
Leo wasn’t above the Sphinx 12,500 years ago because the night sky was divided into 12 areas and named as the constellations by the Babylonians only 2000 years ago. There was no Leo.
The Sphinx is probably the lion headed god Maahes, who was associated with protection.
I wonder if theres a Tomb between the Sphinxs Paws.....
That would be cool. A Tomb always being guarded
Legend has it there used to be a huge ball of yarn between its paws

It was there when they came across it
Built pre flood by nephilim… all the megalithic structures scattered globally were from the days of Noah and prior…
I like it!
"Not enough rain to cause that erosion damage on the sphinx"
Says who?
10,500bc but not 13,000 bc I theorize that it was the work of a lost civilization
Can anyone link just one peer reviewed paper by GH?
The reaction to his documentaries are sort of peer reviews... but hey Hancock can not stand peer review... he calls it some sort of mainstream archeological conspiracy thingy. Which shows Hancock is not a fan of the scientific method... which makes sense because if he did, he wouldn't be rich now.

Yea the erosion isn’t evidence
The erosion damage is from thousands of years of sand being blown from the upper level and falling into the bed where the paws lay. Sand erodes earth/stone far quicker than water.
But sand erosion does not look like water erosion.

The ancient marble lions look just like the Sphinx, but with lion heads. I believe that same civilization originally made the Sphinx with a lion head. What if the megalithic civilization arose during the Eemian interglacial that was much longer and warmer than the Holocene? A glaciation cycle does a good job of wiping out civilizations … or so one would assume.
Cheers

Lex looks on top of his doses for this interview. Graham is easy to listen tae .
Spot on with the Sphinx. Why else would the head be so small and out of proportion.
Ancient Egyptians ‘found’ much older work and used it!
I always thought it was odd that there is nothing showing the construction of the pyramids... 😮
As always Hancock spun this as a complete victory
Id rather blisten to actual experys than Hancock.
BS!
his strongest argument for the sphinx being older than 4,500 years is that at some particular date in the past that he likes the most, it would have roughly looked in direction of the lion constellation, while looking like a lion. I'm so underconvinced
the erosion patters on the sphinx are well proven to be due to sand and wind (can be seen via sharp edges, instead of rounded edges you would get from any kind of water erosion) There is conclusive science on that.
So basically, like always, Hancock presents no evidence for his claims and bluntly ignores any archeological evidence that proves him wrong.
He’s a journalist!!
“Controversial” is giving it way too much credit.
