I love that Eddie is really expanding his horizons with these new feats and types of training.
He needs new content thats why
@@LarryL3g3nd It's a bit reductionist to say that's the only reason why he is doing these other kinds of videos.
He only does it to get view s to make money
he's a content creator so he has to keep it new and exciting for his viewers/ supporters.
@@jolelen6736it’s like having a job?! Who’s have thought eh? A content creator, creating content
Hey Eddie, I’m also an ex Royal Marine of 12 years, this charity is amazing helps so many people, it’s amazing to see a UA-camr doing something like this, rope climbs are as you see a tiring exercise great work Sam
Thankyou for your service 🤙🏻
How well do u think a person no experience but with amazing grip do?
What do non-american military's even do, like what wars are you guys fighting?

Imagine if Eddie would include rope climbing into his training schedule.. my god
It would be very good for his health. It appears he. Any even for a moment hold his own body weight on that rope by his arms which I would say is worrying.
@@richardkirk823 English?
@@aaronf1078 "it appears he cant even hold his own body weight on that rope, which i would say is worrying" is what he meant
How would that help his bodybuilding goal exactly? Risking injury for what?
@@JT-yx7vf quite a lot is at risk actually. When you think about the fact that he is around the 170-175 kg mark regularly, putting that much stress on his muscles creates a big risk for muscle tearing and stress
cracks
Massive respect to Sam and all he is doing in Devon, he's showing you that you never lose that Marine training 😉
Plus, who thought Eddie had more chance of pulling down the beam the ropes tied too, rather than climbing to the top 😅

Rope climbing is hard. I remember the first attempt I ever had in secondary school was exactly the same as Eddie's first attempt. Shows it is not just about raw strength it is about technique with a good amount of strength. But being heavy will make it absolutely brutal.
Eddie, your the man! Your not only a big man, your a good man. Love the videos mate
As a Marine, I never could figure out the scissor method. I used the wrap around method and it was pretty effective

Impressive stuff, the last time i climbed a rope i was like 7 don't think i would have much chance these days haha.
Sam is amazing doing that many and hardly seemed to slow down, wish him all the best with his charity challenge.
A great charity. A big thanks to Eddie for highlighting it.
Such a great cause, I couldn't give much but our brave service men & women deserve every penny!
Eddie has to be on about his tenth side quest now. what a beast
also extremely great form from Sam, i believe he has the climb in the bag coming up. good luck to him

A wonderful person, and I cannot describe Eddie in one word. He has a big dream and is based on accomplishing every day. He has a very wonderful book that talks about his life. I read his book well and enjoyed when I read it. His book contains ideas and things that you should learn from this book. Thank you, Eddie, for the information and advice that you give us. You are a wonderful, lovable and very humble person. Really, you are a legend. I am your follower from 2015 to this day. I learn a lot from you, and every day I learn more things. Hi Eddie,
I do freestyle wrestling and in my gym we are all beasts at rope climbing, since its a big part of our conditioning. Thank you for trying this out. Cant imagine doing that with 90 kg more…
ps: no legs!
Proper Legend Eddie. 👍
I *love* this!
Climbing a rope is so natural and easy for many people, it's mental just how hard it can be for someone as insanely strong as Eddy!
Freaky!
Climbing a rope is so (natural)?.. And easy?.. Yeah lay off the bath salts.
Thx for the video ! It is tough being heavy and also shows the lack of functional strength that many people have. Stay lean and build functional strength people. People doing gymnastics and calisthenics have the strength everyone should aim for :)
Thanks for raising awareness and helping REORG to fund raise. I did my bit too.

Just wanted to say I love all your content eddie I was wondering if you had any tips for upper shoulder exercises
Dumbbell lateral raises
look at jonny shreve's channel
upper shoulder is not really a thing, maybe you mean upper trapezius? Which is more considered to be the upper back or neck. In the shoulder there is the front, side and rear deltoids. Just use those names and google them, you'll see pictures that should make it more clear, and then google them with exercises, read a few popular results and you should be on your way
Try dips as a great all round upper body exercise.
Eddie you are a "BEAST"💪😎
Heyyy love ur vids and ur humor
Hey Eddie! Up for a challenge? What weight you can carry on your body - backpack, belt, shoulder etc - without affecting your mobility? That would be really interesting to see I think!

@@MikethurstonoffIclaI you can just take my bank card bro what u need
Should wrap the rope around your leg one time and have the rope go over the foot wrapped...then it stays like that and when you pull your legs up just put other foot on top of the rope that is over your foot and you can let go of the rope and you will stay there. Easy way to climb for people with weaker arms. Basically use your arms just when pull feet and legs up...pinch rope with feet bring arms higher and repeat. Could never do it until I learned that
U really up to 170 kg's Eddie? You put on some size again. would be fun to see how your strength is increasing even though you're in the body building world now hehe. Also those good old gym videos of you working out hard hits the hardest. So motivational

Ed Came in like a wreaking BALL
Such good technique! I've never seen someone use so much leg to do the work, definitely the key to endurance rope climbing.
I used to climb ropes at primary school, our assembly hall had exercise equipment that folded out, including a dozen ropes up the ceiling, and it was a lot easier when I didn't weigh anything, now I'm close to 200lb and in my late forties it wouldn't be trivial to climb to the knot lmfao. My power is all in my legs, I'm a skater, so my arms don't have to do a lick of work other than carrying a 7lb board around lol. If I could learn the technique I'd probably be ok, but you can see how much muscle memory the Royal Marine dude had! Jenny too, for that matter.
Can you maybe mention in a video how your lifts progressed as you got older. Right now I am 16 6ft4 and my deadlift is 190kg. Wondering if I am on track of becoming the next world strongest man.
