Said Iid i don't want to get myself tangeled into this religious debate but I must say how dumb your response was. My comment didn't focus on the existence of Lord Ganesha but on the milk wasted but "The one true God's" follower, one such yourself focused on Ganesha rather than the actual thing. Lord Ganesha resembles elephants and Fun Fact Elephants do exist. And followers like you spend so much time how you are going to spend your after you death that you guys forget you have a life to live. U would rather follow a book written by someone than actually living your life. And the biggest irony is you guys go around saying it's true when you guys yourself never saw heaven. People changes between 1AD to 2016AD. They believe what they see and not what someone says.

***** having a desire and actually doing it are two different things. Throwing away edible items on lifeless stones is not going to help. It's going inside a gutter. Instead they should just give that milk to hungry kids running in temple premises.

Said Iid no one asked what you believe in. Yeah idol worshipers waste food and waste time on lifeless idols. But you the followers of "one true God" waste your time following a book and killing people who don't. I have seen and heard enough examples that I am happy that I am not born in that religion and the religion I was born in gave me freedom to leave it and be a happy atheist. Yes the religion you are so much glorifying stones people for apostasy.
Just becoz u see something wrong in someone else's religion doesn't mean you are free from it. Same shit, different toilets as they say. So you can happily say that u follow God's way and are going to be in that 1% who are going to heaven. Talking about imaginary things and trying to be the right ones only makes u look dumb. Just grow up and see things as they are.

Yes I still remember that day.In Penang,Malaysia.Me in my friends lined up to feed Ganesha.Placing a spoon of milk near his mouth. We could see the milk sipped away.Rushing back home that night,me and my family tried in our prayer altar,Ganesha drank also. But it only lasted a day i think.Reading thru papers the following morning, realized it happened in India too. That memory completely wiped away from my mind until yesterday while talking to a friend about old days memories.Miracle indeed,I experienced.

Gyalphur Drubjor is considered a highly auspicious day, according to Tibetan astrology. Since the appearance of the 7th star (Gyal) falls on a Thursday (Phurbu), it is called Gyalphur, and it occurs only twice a year. It is said that Ganapati appears briefly to anyone who performs the appropriate rituals to him on this day. Wherever Ganapati appears there will be an increase in glory, esteem, wealth and prosperity. Since the practitioner will have good health and happiness in abundance, it is very important to propitiate Ganapati on this day.
On 1st September, 1995, there was an amazing instance where Ganapati statues from all over the world actually drank milk. This was reported in major newspapers everywhere. However, no one outside of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition was aware that it was Gyalphur Drubjor that day.

@@sker296 The 'phenomenon' itself, as it was observed by hundreds of thousands round the country, has a clear explanation. When water or milk or any other fluid is taken in a spoon or a suitably shallow container, it is a well-known fact that the surface of the fluid is not flat but slightly curved. This is due to the phenomenon of surface tension, whereby the fluid tries to minimise its surface area. If a spoon is filled with milk or water and taken to the mouth of an idol, or indeed any statue, then it is natural that the upper lip on the idol will touch the surface. In the case of a Ganesa idol without a lip, the gap between the underside of the trunk and the face would be the place used, and again some portion of the idol will touch the fluid surface. When the surface is thus punctured, then the fluid has a chance to flow out.
What happens subsequently depends on other conditions. If the idol is wet, as is frequently the case, then the water on the idol and the milk in the spoon form one fluid body and the milk flows out along the channel created by the water. Having begun to flow out in this fashion, the milk may then disperse itself in the water on the surface of the idol (if the quantity of milk is very small and the surface of the idol suitably large) or simply flow down along one of the channels by which the water on the surface itself has flown down.
In case the idol is dry, the milk in the spoon flows out along the crack between the two lips and then subsequently flows down the idol by any available crack or even a minute fissure on the surface of the idol. This tendency to flow out rapidly first along the crack is primarily due to the fact that it is the only surface at the same level as the milk in the spoon. It is also aided by the phenomenon of capillary action, whereby fluid in a narrow tube is pushed up along the tube by the effects of surface tension again acting on the top of the fluid column in the tube. Here the gap between the lips behaves like a narrow tube and the fluid flows out along the lips. Subsequently, the milk flows down to the base of the idol. Once the lips of the idol have been wetted in this fashion, a second attempt to feed it milk is even more successful as the surface of the lips have already been wetted by the first attempt.
There may be slight variants of this explanation required for some particular cases, but the basic idea will be the same.
But the key point here is that while one sees the milk slowly disappearing from the spoon, the milk does not vanish into the idol. The milk remains on the surface of the idol or appears at the base of the idol.
It is a basic requirement of modern society that explanations for physical and social phenomena are sought for in rational terms - not in terms of 'miracles' wrought by a higher power which can suspend the laws of nature at will. One tends to assume that such an attitude, a fundamental prerequisite to the development of a scientific temper, is widespread among the educated. They certainly cannot claim they have had no access to the knowledge required to understand the phenomena in scientific terms. The point is that on the phenomenon of 'idols drinking milk', in significant numbers they chose to suspend the search for a rational explanation. Either that or they did not have the courage to stand by a rational explanation which must have occurred to them.

The phenomenon you're referring to is called the "Capillary Action" or "Capillarity." Capillarity is the ability of a liquid to flow in narrow spaces without the assistance of, or even in opposition to, external forces like gravity. This effect is often observed in small tubes, porous materials, and narrow spaces, where the cohesive forces between the liquid molecules are strong enough to overcome gravity and pull the liquid upward. In the context of the "Milk Miracle" or similar instances where liquids appear to be drawn into a small opening, capillary action could explain the movement of the liquid without any need for supernatural or miraculous explanations.

When u don't have proper explanation then some people come up with some shitty scientific reason which quite confusing to general public and unconvincing to themselves. It was pure miracle, people deny to acknowledge it because they are same like Duryodhan in mahabharat, he never acknowledged Krishna as God. But many in that time frame like Bhishma, Arjuna , Kripacharha and Rishish knew clearly that he was God. Hope this clear

What? Capillary effect refers to the movement of water, meaning it would end up somewhere and not disappear.

At the age of 14, a bit of a geek, not religious, living in London, I got home from school to find my mum pretty excited and saying we need to get to a mandir. I wasn't so excited, cos I wanted to practice kickups! Anyway, long story short, got to a mandir full of fat old ladies delirious and gallons of milk everywhere. We were told to grab a ganesh statue, and offer milk to it. I even said to my Mum if I can try Coke, being a skeptic, she said it'd be disrespectful. Anway, I gave it a go and to my complete disbelief I watched as the milk just got sucked in. After that I couldn't stop grabbing other statues, we even did it with ones we brought from home. It was real. That evening I thought, OK so at least Ganesh exists, but if so what on earth was the point of showing his existence by drinking a shit ton of milk??? Surely there would be better things to do. Perhaps sadly, I hadn't become any more religious because I was a bit annoyed that with so much crap in the world even at 1995, drinking milk was the method of choice. Mysterious ways indeed - but who am I to judge. I can only confirm, that day shit was real, and I've never heard of it being spoken of since - this comment is from me having searched just now why it just fizzled out, when it was and still is the most confirmed event of a religions god(s) existence. Albeit lame method.

@Rosehill CCTV As a Hindu, it's scientific explanation is due to pressure changes, the idol seeps or seemingly drinks milk. U should have read Suction force in Science.

@@rutvikpachkawade3517 do you even know anything about capillary action or blabbing after watching some kind of video trying to debunk it? Capillary action can only happen for a surface with very low elevation. The statues the "experts" used had a very small tusk. But there are so many statues of ganesha with long tusks too, why did it happen with them too? Why capillary action was valid for that day only? Why the spilled milk was very little compared to the milk you offered?. How can i even expect someone to know anything about capillary action who can't even spell it correct lmao
