Sir my method was too cheap i think cuz what i did was ( 1:41 ) Since its a real number i just thought if 2+4z^2 become 0 in numerator and denominator then we'll be left with 3z/-3z which is -1 which is purely real So i just put 2+4z^2=0 so 4z^2=-2 So mod z^2=1/2

I have one more method, though it is similar to Method 1..... Put Z=x+iy.... Here y≠0 but there is no constraint on x so put x=0.... Hence, z=iy.... Put in the equation..... Rationalize and put Im(expression)=0 and you will get |Z|² as 1/2..... I believe this is a much simpler and intuitive approach with minimal calculation......

The last hit and trial method u could have got tht real number to be -1 but taking z to be purely imaginary(instead of hit and trial) after all they only said imaginary part was non zero they didnt even talk abt real part

This similar type of question was in our class notes (obv before adv 2022) and our teacher taught us Method 3 there, so idhar bhi mujhe M1, M2 and M3 most probably strike hue they, but best method for me in an exam hall would be M3 (coz vahi strike hota mujhe😂😂)

Z=a+ib ; (b not equal to zero) but ( a can be zero) therefore Z=ib , by puting it ,eqn simplifies

MEthod 7 use the concept of product of roots in method 6 to get 2/4 = 1/2

Sir another method is to use componendo dividendo followed by putting 1/z = z bar / (mod z)^2 and equating imaginary part to 0 to directly get answer.
