Trolling Motor Shortened Shaft Swivel Wire Cap

- In this video, I illustrate the methods used to build a swivel wire cap for a shortened shaft trolling motor.
Parts:
* Orbit Swivel PVC FHT Swivel x Socket Adapter 3/4" Thread and 3/4" Slip.
* PVC 3/4" Slip x 1/2" Female Thread 90 Degree Elbow Fitting.
* PVC 3/4" Pipe.
* PG 13.5 or 1/2" Gland Nut.
Optional:
* PVC 3/4" Slip x 3/4" Female Thread 90 Degree Elbow Fitting.
* Orbit 3/4" Male x 1/2" Male Adapter Fitting. - Спорт

Try starting with a 1” CPVC fitting. It fits the shaft perfectly.
What is the inside diameter of the 1"?
I like this, a lot. When I get back into yak fishing I'll consider this mod on mine. Currently my sons all use my mod'd Native Ultimate 12.

I have a challenge for you or question. Is it possable to use foot steering to steer and lift the motor ?? I was thinking it would be a lot cleaner. Then all you would need is one rope for the locking mechanism. It would be a really quick lift for that last second rock you spotted.
Yes and there are videos. Basically, you push both pedals forward and it lifts or tilts the motor.
